We decided to have lunch at Cinderella's Royal Table since we weren't able to get a Priority Seating for the character breakfast. We arrived there at 12:05 p.m. on and early entry day. We were promptly greeted and told to go upstairs since our table was ready. Mary Poppins was on the lobby posing for pictures at the Christmas tree. At the dining room, we were also seated immediately and saw that the restaurant was about half full. The decor and feeling was just like I had imagined, and somewhat intimate since the room is not huge. We were ready to have a nice meal, so my husband decided to order the 12 oz. New York strip steak with mashed potatoes, and I ordered the turkey sandwich and salad. Bread was served quickly and it was quite good.

When beverages were served, I had to return mine because the glass had lipstick stains. The biggest disappointment was my husband's meal, which was completely dry, hard, and tasteless (including the potatoes). He could not finish eating it although he was very hungry. My sandwich was not bad, but it was exactly the same I'd had the day before on Animal Kingdom's Pizzafari.

Cleanliness at the restaurant was not even close to optimal, especially at the restrooms. They were the dirtiest I've seen in all parks; the floor at the ladies' room was flooded between the two stalls, the trash can was overflowing and there was no soap. My husband told me that at the men's room the utility closet door was completely open, exposing dirty brooms, mops, and other cleaning supplies.

Service at the restaurant was the only positive experience for us. Nothing memorable, but courteous and prompt. I don't know if the breakfast experience is different, but considering my overall experience, I would never go back again to this restaurant.

They have the smallest and most inconvenient restrooms at the Castle. And with the cramped quarters, it would be difficult to renovate them to make them more accessible. They do have the companion restroom just off the lobby.

But since you were there just after breakfast, and we all know how packed that is, I bet they just hadn't been able to do the cleaning. I've never had a dirty restroom at the Castle, just found them crowded.

And it's funny about some of those sandwiches - you'll find the same one in many places.

Sorry to hear CRT was disappointing at lunch. Funny how the same sandwhiches pop up all over the parks? I've noticed that too.

Oh my thats really odd considering how important the castle is to the overall ambiance of the park. Sorry you had such a disapointing time.

Does CRT open at 11:30 or 12:00 for lunch?

I made a PS and was told it only opened at noon but I am certain I have eaten lunch at 11:30.

I'm glad I'm not alone in my views of CRT. Both DH and I were royally disappointed in our dining experience at Cinderella's Royal table. Walt Disney World really needs to step up their game where this restaurant is concerned. It was our worst meal during our ten day stay. The charming, romantic atmosphere unfortunately does not make up for the poor food quality and inflated prices. Cinderella Castle is the jewel in Disney's crown and should be held to a far higher standard.

I wish the Chef at Citricos would prepare my dinner tomorrow?

We had the same problem with the restrooms on 12/3 when we were there for breakfast. We had an 8:10ps so there really was no excuse for the dirty restroom. The floor was flooded then and only 1 dispenser had soap in it. It was also completely out of paper towels. When we left we let the hostess know. She didn't seem to interested.

arghhh: i just made a PS for lunch at CRT for Valentines day. Hope I am not dissappointed. I hear soo much good stuff about the breakfast.

We love CRT... but I was a little disappointed with my last meal there. The dinner menu had very limited offerings because of the additions of sandwiches and salads. I had chicken (which I usually never order out) and it was average. My fiance had a steak which was very good. Our food is usually excellent, and while this meal was okay, it wasn't anything special. Except for the dessert - cappuccino creme brulee. It was fantastic.

We ate in the Castle last Mother's Day. While the atmosphere of the room is memorable, the food was mediocre. At attitude toward Cindy's from now on is, been there, done that.

The descriptions on the menu were a lot better than the food, in my opinion, when we visited for lunch last week. The waitstaff was nice, though, and the chef made an appearance at our table apologizing for the food and the service. Our meals were "on the house" (probably because we didn't eat anything!) and he sent over a sampling of the desserts as a consolation prize. Here again, fancy words like "macerated cherries" didn't make up for what was essentially stale pound cake. I would never go back.

urgghhh wish I had read this before I just changed my ps to here instead of Ltt for lunch for the "atmosphere"..oh well guess we can wing it that day.( or eat at the Plaza my personal MK fav. but wanted to use vkl vouchers)..has anyone had a good lunch there lately or is "lousy" more common ? we did eat there for lunch before ( what I remember ok but pricey) but that was years ago.
