CIBC debit card for online purchases?

I just read that CIBC has a debit card (Advantage) that can be used to purchase things on-line or over the phone as a visa card. Has anyone had any experience with this? I would be willing to switch banks if this were a good program.

I know that lots of places accept debit card online now. Sounds like a CIBC marketing tool.

I tend not to use my debit card online or over the phone, because of the pin number that you need to use and unlike a credit card you are out money right away and if for some reason it gets compromised you have to wait at least a week to get the money back.
