Kathy a gal on passporters has done a lot of these type of tours and she says there are many that won't let you were sleeveless shirts either...like tank tops, even dressy sundresses.

What were some of the no-no's on the sign by the entrance. I got the no smoking, no cell phone, no hat, no pets, etc.. What was the one of the woman? No short dresses?

it really was.
Nope. You have to put a shirt over or some women put a scarf over their shoulders.

Then we went into here.

At this point it was time to use the facilities and then start heading back to the meetup point. One line for men and women is what I discovered when I got downstairs and I turned right around and decided I would go by the square where we were meeting.
If I posted some pics as duplicates I do apologize, I walked around a lot and saw some things twice.

That inlaid marble floor is really amazing. FYI -it took over 100 years to complete. Also Scott, consider yourself fortunate -the floors are usually only exposed for 6-8 weeks out of the year and covered the rest of the time. Great job with the photos.

it was worth the 100 years. I do remember someone saying while we were there that it is covered most of the year. Thanks.

Day 6.5
It was great to walk around and see that church but it was time for us to move along. We had to go back to the square again and when we walked out it was drizzling but it stopped quickly. This was across the street from the church.

A live statue.

Pizza anyone? This was the only time I saw round pizza I think.

Then we were at the square. I did go inside a gift shop and bought a keychain (I will post a pic of all my souvenirs at the end).

Then we were back where we had to be. Here is the “entrance” I thought was pretty.

I did go walk around looking for a bathroom but I felt uncomfortable just going into the restaurant to use one so I decided to hold it till our next destination.
I did go in the building that had the “entrance” to see if there was a potty in there (there is not).

This was the inside of it.

Then we started walking to the bus. This is when I spoke to the guide. She was really nice and informative. She loves America and wants to visit again. We did get asked to slow it down from the group so I guess we were walking fast and chatting. LOL.

I love the buildings and alleys.

I do love how Italians park. LOL.

Then we were all on the bus and on our way. The open road. LOL.

We were now getting close to our next destination.

That was not our destination (yet) because we had to have lunch first and that is at a vineyard/farmhouse.

Time to stop.
