Now we were on our final leg of the trip up. We passed this building.

Then we saw this river? I guess it was.

And then we saw this dry area with a little bit of water flowing through it.

Another waterfall.

Then we passed a town.

Yes I could live here.

Here is the town we were in.

Looks like a horse tour group maybe or a class or friends.

Then I saw a hang glider.

No, I saw 2 of them.

Then there were 2 more.

I could not even imagine doing that. I give them credit for doing it. Next up we saw this. Beautiful!

I was fascinated by water. LOL.

Then we were approaching St. Moritz.

WE MADE IT TO ST. MORITZ!!!!!

Another couple of updates with beautiful scenery in them! I wonder what those things were on the mountains (the ones that you thought might be windmills)? You had me laughing at the Outlet picture and your comment. My family says that same thing about me. If there's an outlet or a sale, I'll find it.

We had made it up the mountain and were now in.

Where to go first. We were told we only had an hour here and we told where to go to get to the retail area. Off we went.

They make it look pretty.

I guess some people were going to walk up the hill, we were not.

There is the town area but how do we get there?

Love how they put flowers out in pretty planters.

We had to walk through this garage to get there first.

There is how we get up to the street, by escalator.

I do know there restrooms here and we used them. Here is sign that was hanging.

The ladies room had a long line so I went outside to see what I could see and I saw a lake.

Then I noticed this (which looked like Wall*E).

I went to look through it thinking I was going to see the other side of the lake but I was wrong. You see old photos of races on the lake.

This looks like it could be a hotel but it may be someones house.

Going back inside they had this display so we took photos. Here is Donna.

I didn't get Mark unless he didn't do it. Some of the art on the walls.

Here is the escalator we were about to go up.

I was going to walk up the stairs but then I noticed an elevator. Nobody else wanted to take it so I decided to go alone. Here is a link to the video. The levator was cool as it went up sideways kind of.

I also beat them all up to the top. LOL.

Then we stepped outside.

Every where you looked was high end stores. Way too pricey for me.

Then we passed here.

Anyone looking for a place to live?

Lorraine and myself had only one destination here, here it is.

Swiss chocolate.

I bought a couple of things of chocolate and they might not have lasted me till the end of the trip. LOL. Some were inside waiting to pay so I took a pic of the town in the other direction.

This town was pretty.

At this point we started walking back towards the parking lot where the bus was.

I found this building pretty and cute.

Looking down the escalator. it was a steep ride.

Everyone was in good moods. Was it because we were in Switzerland or because we just bought chocolate?

Now I have The Carpenters in my head.

Someone noticed these parking spots. They were the first ones by the escalators and elevator. They were reserved for women so they could be close to the exit. Fantastic idea or that was the conclusion we came up with.

Walking back to the bus.

Then I noticed a bunch of sheep on the hill.

We had some time and I wanted a keychain so I went to the little store there and bought one and also got some Arizona Iced tea for the ride back. I do think they should give you more time in St. Moritz but the real star of the tour is the train ride up the mountain.

I am going to stop here.

Pity about only having an hour in St Moritz. But I think you put your hour to good use.....love the chocolate shopping!!!

The train ride and the scenery is definitely the star. I have to admit that I have always thought that the Swiss mountains are too postcard perfect. I much rather the ruggedness of the (Canadian) Rocky Mountains. Still, Switzerland is pretty; and clean.

Caught up again. The pictures are wonderful. I may get there some day.

Maybe the parking space was for expectant women. I know there are some spots reserved around here for that purpose in one shopping center.

This is such an interesting read for me. Love all the photos and your excitement. But next time you plan such a trip, try to go to St. Moritz in the winter - it is much more beautiful in the snow.

Yip, there are parking spaces just for women. We have them here too. They mainly are put there as there are many women who do not feel safe in a parking garage as some parts are usually not very well lit. So they have put in spaces for women close to exits to the shops.

Had to when you all went chocolate shopping. Good chocolate is so common here, so this took me kind of by surprise.

And 1 hour is definitely too short to visit a place like St. Moritz. Next time, just rent a car and stay as long as you want to. Driving is pretty easy here too.
