After checking in and leaving our bags we set off to see Venice. Here is the bridge that was right outside the alley we were staying in.

Looking down from the bridge at the canal.

Saw my first Gondola in Venice.

I made it across and looked back.

There were so many boats.

Looking down the way we were heading.

This was pretty but there was always someone sitting on the steps so I could not get a pic of it alone.

I got a pic of Barbara & Jeff. Nice pic.

Lovely building across the way. I wish I had taken notes of all the things we saw but there was so much that I just could not.

Time to cross over the canal again. We turn left where those 2 girls are.

We then went down a side canal.

Back to the canal.

We passed by this hotel. That would be nice to stay on the canal.

Then we came to another bridge.

we did not cross it but then we did come to this.

I could live in this place.

Then I looked back at the church and took some zoomed in pics.

Then we moved along and came to another bridge.

I was okay actually with the time there. Like I said the real star of the trip is the ride up. Now in the winter I think I would want longer time.

it was so pretty. We were told it was dirty and gross and not to spend much time there and we listened unfortunately and now we want to go back for 3 or 4 days.
At least I will be very secure and they are big.

As we were walking it was decided we would eat. Of course where that would be is another question. We walked some and then came to here.

This sign was on the flowerbed.

See here is the bed. I can guess it means to curb your dog.

Here is a water fountain. I thought it was for dogs because I saw ony drinking from it but people also drank from it. We ended up seeing them all over Italy.

The flowers around here were so pretty.

We saw a restaurant and we went over. One of the waiters comes out and grabs Donna and tells her to go inside with him. She does this and then when she comes back out she has a bib on. LOL, it was funny. You probably had to be there. Here she is with her bib.

Here is the restaurant. I looked it up on Tripadvisor the other week and it gets terrible reviews but we found this to be completely untrue.

I tried a selfie of us all. I failed getting Mark & Jeff.

No worries though because here they are.

I tried to stitch the 2 pics together. It looks okay but not perfect. LOL.

As we waited for the food to come out I went to take photos of the flowers.

Name of the restaurant again.

Lunch was good. I did not take any photos. I had the margherita pizza. It was so good we might make an appearance here again before we leave.

After lunch we decided to walk back towards the hotel and see if the rooms were ready.

As we were leaving I took more flower shots. Now everyone can say they have seen Italian flowers. LOL.

I skipped 3.4 because I ended up merging both updates into one.

As we were coming out from lunch we saw the Polizia go by on a boat.

Back to one of the bridges we crossed earlier. Pretty bridge.

Looking at the canal from atop the bridge.

Some laundry if you needed it. LOL. I would be scared it would fall into the canal.

Then we walked some more and came across this chair.

Wish I took a pic of the one next to it.

Then we came by the church we saw earlier and I took a pic of the steps that lead into the canal.

Then I took this pic.

That is the path that leads back to the hotel as we walk up there make a right and go to the bridge. Barbara walked straight and said lets see what is up there so I said okay and Jeffrey went to. This is when we lost all the others. We walked back the other way to see if we could find them but we could not. Cells were not working for some reason. The only thing we could think of was go back to the hotel and wait for them there.

Now we are back at the hotel.

The others were not here and we tried texting them but it was not going through but we went up to see if the rooms were ready. They were.
I believe Jeff went outside by the bridge to see if he could see them and I don't remember if he did or if they came back on their own but they did appear. This update will be all about the hotel and room.
Here is a light fixture. LOL.

Windows.

Another light. This was all in the area where the red furniture was in a past update.

Now the 3 rooms we got were all over the hotel. When you walk down past the red chairs you come to a door, going left takes you to rooms and the stairs to upstairs. Going right takes you to 1 room and the room for breakfast and the door to the garden. We took the one that was by itself. Shall we see the room.
Bed.

I saw the window in the room and looked out and we had a view of the courtyard.

Nightstand.

Now the bathroom.

They had a closet area to put your clothes and a safe. We did not use it being we were leaving the next day.

No bathtub here but a nice standup shower. I prefer these.
