When we took Holland America they offered a few different church services throughout the cruise for various denominations. We just got off the Dream and there was nothing mentioned but you also were either getting on or off on Sunday so I figured that could be why. Does anyone know if Disney offers church services on longer trips that include a day at sea on a Sunday? Thanks! We're taking the Magic on June 1 if that makes any differnce...

They do if there's a Chaplain on board. It would be listed on your navigator.

It depends entirely on if they have a chaplain onboard for that cruise. They usually make a point to have one for big holidays (rabbi for Hanukkah, priest for Holy Week mass, etc.) but it's never a guarantee.

I can't remember where I heard this, it may not even be true but rumor has it if you conduct a open service while on DCL after coordinating with them, they will give you OBC. Something to look into if want...

Our longer cruises that sailed over a Sunday, there was an interdenominational service offered. It was facilitated by a CM.

It was in the Navigator.

Good to know...I'll let my mom know... and keep my fingers crossed... Thanks!

Festivus here I come!

Other than during major holidays, it all depends on whether or not there is a member of the clergy onboard that cruise and/or a layperson willing to lead a worship service. DCL will provide a space for any person/group requesting to hold a religious service of any denomination, but DCL does not provide someone to lead the service other than during major holidays.

This is very interesting... I am an M.Div. student specializing in multifaith and process studies... I could totally do this in exchange for OBC. Do I just send a note to the general guest services email, I wonder?

There was an interdenominational service listed in our navigator for Alaska. Sunday was also an at-sea day... Not sure if that makes a difference

Can't hurt Meghatron. Try it and let us know!

On our Hawaii cruise, we were in port on Sunday and there was an interdenominational service offered.
