Every October our church as a "Garage Sale" (I think they actually call it a Trash To Treasures Sale, but you get the point). People bring in their "junk", some very dedicated people spend 2 or so days sort and pricing and then on Saturday they have the sale.
Well, I was there last night for choir practice. And I got there early knowing that the hall would be set up for the sale. The stuff that was there was great. There were things that had never been opened. And, I managed to snag some books before the official sale. I walked away with 15 books for $1.80 (Actually, I gave them $2 -- how generous can you be?
). Some of these books were practically brand new (one actually had the original receipt in it). And a fellow choir member saw BRAND New LL Bean Ice Skates. She got them for $1!!! (wish I had seen them first, they would have fit me).
Any way, the point of this whole post is that you can find some great bargains at church sales. And if you're in the Montclair area on Saturday, PM me and I'll give you the church info. Trust me, you can get some GREAT stuff, dirt cheap!

Needless to say, the choir and the pastor were pretty much
