Loved your pics of the turtle!!
Great update! I LOVE breakfast at Kona. The Pineapple Macadamia Pancakes are my favorite, though! Too bad about the trouble getting back to EPCOT, but it sounds like once you got there, you were able to do some very fun things. I love the two photos of the Land building.
I'm loving your reports and the pictures. You make everything come alive. The green sea turtles are magnificent!
Your tonga toast looks delicious, but that pales in comparison to the bread pudding and ice cream delight from your last update. My mouth is watering.
I think we have already established this, but I have to ask...where we in Epcot on the same day (9/3)? If so, and you were strolling through to Soarin at around noon... you might have caught a glimpse of us. I know I see the picture of the dinning area at Sunshine Seasons and I can see exactly where we sat. we were not there...but if it was 9/3 we were either on our way there or had just left as our table is empty.
As for Turtle Talk...I know we were not there at the same time since you were at Kona, but my dd froze up when talking to Crush..so I imagine being shy happens to a lot of people.
I am dying to go to Kona for breakfast. Even more so after your pics, the Tonga Toast looks so good!
Aww the puffer fish is cute! I've never noticed him outside the Living Seas before.
Ahh, the Tonga Toast looked absolutely AMAZING!!! I can't wait to try it someday myself! Also, your DH's shirt is absolutely hysterical, I love it!!! Glad that he was able to get you a FP for Soarin too!

Hey an FYI for next time, instead of waiting for the resort monorail to take you to the TTC, you could have walked thru the Poly's ground to the TTC and then caught the monorail to Epcot. That is one of our favorite things about staying at the Poly.
Loved your pics of the turtle!!
that last segment of yout TR makes me want to squeeze in Kona for breakfast inot out itinerary...I just wouldnt know which to have - the tonga toast or the pineapple macadamia pancakes!!
**goes to check out my itinerary to see where I can make this happen**
OMG your review of Ohana got me so excited for our dinner ADR there! I keep reading all of these wonderful reviews and it's making me so happy that I scheduled it! Although they ALWAYS have a long wait to get a table, even for breakfast. We check in on time (usually) and still wait 20 minutes to get seated. At least you got to watch Wishes! THAT would be worth the wait!
Kona!! We LOVED Kona! Tonga Toast is definitely my favorite!
And yeah...we gave up on early morning ADRs about 2 years ago. We get to sleep a little in the mornings and the restaurants are less crowded because most people are at the parks already. All of our breakfast ADRs for this year are after 9am.![]()
TONGA TOAST!!!I can't believe it has been 4 years since I had that delectable treat!!

Hi there! I too tried Tonga Toast on our last trip for the first time, it is so good. Your pic's made me crave it
You were very fortunate that your DH had a nice CM that gave him an extra FP for Soarin& are probably right about the buziness of the park being a factor. I had the same issue in August hoping to get one for my DS who had slept in, nope, they would NOT budge & give me an extra

I just cannot think of enough wonderful, complimentary things to say about your photographs! They are that awesome. Thanks so much for sharing them with us.![]()
Okay seriously we had the same schedule for days:
9/3: MK
9/4: HS
9/5: Epcot
If you tell me you spend Labor Day in Animal Kingdom and we never bumped into each other once, I think I'm going to bust out laughing. We seem to be in the same places around the same time, but not.![]()
Loving your trip report!!!! DH and I have been to WDW many times and we are currently deciding if we want to book a trip next September and bring our baby boy! We enjoyed the world many times just the two of us but we are excited to share it with our little guy! Your TR makes me want to book today!!!!!!!!!![]()
You must have Tonga Toast. I love it! At least try it once.
OMG Tonga Toast forever! (that should be my tatoo)
I am so excited to try this! After everyone has been talking it up I made reservations for my girls and I to have breakfast there OOP. It is before my husband fliles in so he will be soooo jealous though. I hope I won't need to get it tattooed though hahaha I already have too many according to my mother![]()
Just spent the morning catching up on your TR! Can't wait to hear more-- the plane thing sounds so stressful! You are making me covet your camera and your photography skills!
I had purchased extra legroom seats, so we were in row 3 of the plane. Ahh, it was soooo nice to stretch our legs out.
Finally after what seemed like half an hour, a Mears van shows up. What!?! No spiffy Mickey-decorated ME bus to take us to our resort??!
We were in Building 4 on the ground floor.
The beignets were soooooo good.
I liked how we were the first stop on the route back, and we usually had dedicated busses to each of the parks, only during non-peak hours did it stop at Riverside to make pick-ups.
I liked the vending machines and how they had a theme at each resort
My favorite, Hello Kitty!
I love Hello Kitty too! I even have a Hello Kitty tattoo!
Even though Ive been on this ride countless times, the beginning, where they do the countdown before you are flying into the darkness, always kind of freaks me out a bit even though I know whats going to happen. I think its the anticipation.
We then went to catch the Indiana Jones action show.
I was really really happy I got the shot of the Alien! I was so psyched!
Back at POFQ, DH took a nap while I went to take some pics
