Chunkymonkey and Chubbyhubby Stuff Themselves Silly! THE END..on to the next TR!

that last segment of yout TR makes me want to squeeze in Kona for breakfast inot out itinerary...I just wouldnt know which to have - the tonga toast or the pineapple macadamia pancakes!! :confused3

**goes to check out my itinerary to see where I can make this happen**

OMG your review of Ohana got me so excited for our dinner ADR there! I keep reading all of these wonderful reviews and it's making me so happy that I scheduled it! Although they ALWAYS have a long wait to get a table, even for breakfast. We check in on time (usually) and still wait 20 minutes to get seated. At least you got to watch Wishes! THAT would be worth the wait!

:love: Kona!! We LOVED Kona! Tonga Toast is definitely my favorite!

And yeah...we gave up on early morning ADRs about 2 years ago. We get to sleep a little in the mornings and the restaurants are less crowded because most people are at the parks already. All of our breakfast ADRs for this year are after 9am. :thumbsup2

Hi there! I too tried Tonga Toast on our last trip for the first time, it is so good. Your pic's made me crave it :goodvibes

You were very fortunate that your DH had a nice CM that gave him an extra FP for Soarin :thumbsup2 & are probably right about the buziness of the park being a factor. I had the same issue in August hoping to get one for my DS who had slept in, nope, they would NOT budge & give me an extra :sad1:

I just cannot think of enough wonderful, complimentary things to say about your photographs! They are that awesome. Thanks so much for sharing them with us. :goodvibes

Great update! I LOVE breakfast at Kona. The Pineapple Macadamia Pancakes are my favorite, though! Too bad about the trouble getting back to EPCOT, but it sounds like once you got there, you were able to do some very fun things. I love the two photos of the Land building.

Thanks! We had a fantastic day at Epcot. We love it there! DH enjoyed the mac nut pancakes that came with his Big Kahuna breakfast. We ate them in Hawaii too and fell in love with them there.

I'm loving your reports and the pictures. You make everything come alive. The green sea turtles are magnificent!

Your tonga toast looks delicious, but that pales in comparison to the bread pudding and ice cream delight from your last update. My mouth is watering.

Yes that bread pudding was to die for. I still think about it now. And thank you so much for the compliments! I love taking pictures so it's my pleasure!

I think we have already established this, but I have to ask...where we in Epcot on the same day (9/3)? If so, and you were strolling through to Soarin at around noon... you might have caught a glimpse of us. I know I see the picture of the dinning area at Sunshine Seasons and I can see exactly where we sat. we were not there...but if it was 9/3 we were either on our way there or had just left as our table is empty.

As for Turtle Talk...I know we were not there at the same time since you were at Kona, but my dd froze up when talking to Crush..so I imagine being shy happens to a lot of people.

This was on 9/5 (sunday). SS was packed! It seemed like everyone was there having lunch. I on the other hand could not eat for the rest of the day, not even a snack, since the Tonga Toast filled me up. I really was full for the whole day until dinner, and I honestly didn't even have to have that. LOL

I am dying to go to Kona for breakfast. Even more so after your pics, the Tonga Toast looks so good!

Aww the puffer fish is cute! I've never noticed him outside the Living Seas before.

Puffer is my favorite fish. I take a picture of him every year. Although this year's one came out nicer than previous years thanks to the dslr.

You must have Tonga Toast. I love it! At least try it once.

Ahh, the Tonga Toast looked absolutely AMAZING!!! I can't wait to try it someday myself! :goodvibes Also, your DH's shirt is absolutely hysterical, I love it!!! Glad that he was able to get you a FP for Soarin too! :thumbsup2

OMG it's sooo good. I can sing about it's praises for months. It also filled me up ALL DAY so I didn' eat anything until dinner, and I wasn't even hungry at dinner.
Haha, DH likes that shirt too. I bought it for him as a surprise while he was getting FPs at RnRC and had it delivered to the hotel. I got another surprise on this trip, but this is coming up in my TR...

Hey an FYI for next time, instead of waiting for the resort monorail to take you to the TTC, you could have walked thru the Poly's ground to the TTC and then caught the monorail to Epcot. That is one of our favorite things about staying at the Poly.

Oooh great idea. We hadn't even thought of that. We were just waiting at the monorail like everyone else. It was soooo hot too. We'll remember next time! Thanks!!

Loved your pics of the turtle!!

Thank you!!!:)

Hahaha, sorry to have caused you to reshuffle things, but that tonga toast was really that good. It's something I would go out of my way for. Tonga toast all the way!

I think you guys will really enjoy 'ohana dinner! I can definitely see why the place is always so mobbed.

OMG Tonga Toast forever! (that should be my tatoo)

Yes, I am not doing the early early morning adrs again. Especially if it's at another resort which takes so long to get to without a car.

TONGA TOAST!!!:goodvibes I can't believe it has been 4 years since I had that delectable treat!!

I am happy to have re-lived the moment for you then! Yum Yum. I'd be happy to do it again and again too...:rotfl:

It IS that good!
Yes DH was lucky, or maybe he just had a reall nice CM, or both!

Aww Tina, you are too sweet. Thank you and it's my pleasure!

Okay seriously we had the same schedule for days:
9/3: MK
9/4: HS
9/5: Epcot

If you tell me you spend Labor Day in Animal Kingdom and we never bumped into each other once, I think I'm going to bust out laughing. We seem to be in the same places around the same time, but not.:rotfl2:

Loving your trip report!!!! DH and I have been to WDW many times and we are currently deciding if we want to book a trip next September and bring our baby boy! We enjoyed the world many times just the two of us but we are excited to share it with our little guy! Your TR makes me want to book today!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup2

You must have Tonga Toast. I love it! At least try it once.

OMG Tonga Toast forever! (that should be my tatoo)

I am so excited to try this! After everyone has been talking it up I made reservations for my girls and I to have breakfast there OOP. It is before my husband fliles in so he will be soooo jealous though. I hope I won't need to get it tattooed though hahaha I already have too many according to my mother :rotfl2:

Just spent the morning catching up on your TR! Can't wait to hear more-- the plane thing sounds so stressful! You are making me covet your camera and your photography skills!

Oh but we did spend Labor day in AK! LOL. Actually we spent half of Monday at DHS and then the later half of the day at AK. We ate dinner at Boma. Since you spent so much time on EE, you might have rode it with DH who went by himself. I didn't bother. I was shopping :cutie:

Aww I am so happy to have inspired you to book your trip! I must admit it doesn't take much convincing for me. Someone only really has to ask me, "Hey you wanna go to Disney?". I'm SO THERE. It's so exciting to take your son there for the first time! How cool! Sooo many memories to capture!!

You must have Tonga Toast. I love it! At least try it once.

LOL. I would not be opposed to getting a piece of bread tatooed on myself. I think the only hassle would be trying to explain it to everyone who asks me what the heck it is! LOL. It is still an option though :rotfl:
Your husband will be super jealous, but maybe if you like it, you can go again!

Just spent the morning catching up on your TR! Can't wait to hear more-- the plane thing sounds so stressful! You are making me covet your camera and your photography skills!

Thanks and welcome back! I can't wait to hear about your trip too since we went at the same time. Yes the plane thing was stressful, but would I do it again just to be at disney? Absolutely!

Yay! I finally have some free time to start catching up on your TR!

I had purchased extra legroom seats, so we were in row 3 of the plane. Ahh, it was soooo nice to stretch our legs out.

Haha! I'm really short so I've always had plenty of leg room on planes! Most of the time my feet can't even reach the ground!

Finally after what seemed like half an hour, a Mears van shows up. What!?! No spiffy Mickey-decorated ME bus to take us to our resort??!

This made me feel a lot better about my situation! I ALWAYS get a Cruise bus when I ride ME! I've never gotten the Magical Express bus with the red seats with yellow stars that I absolutely love! And I get so bummed out about it every time! But I'd have to say the Cruise Line bus is definitely better than a regular old Mears van! I hope you at least got a ME bus on your trip back! I guess I'll have to wait to the end of your TR to find out!

We were in Building 4 on the ground floor.

We were also in Building 4!!! We were on the 3rd floor though! We absolutely LOVED the location of our room!

The beignets were soooooo good.

Now that I'm home, I totally regret only getting beignets once on my trip! They were really really good! But I just wasn't in the mood for them while I was there! But of course now that I'm back home I'm craving them all the time!

I liked how we were the first stop on the route back, and we usually had dedicated busses to each of the parks, only during non-peak hours did it stop at Riverside to make pick-ups.

Hmmm... I guess we never rode the bus during non-peak hours because I don't remember stopping at Riverside at all!

I liked the vending machines and how they had a theme at each resort

Haha! It was about halfway through our trip when The Boyfriend said, "They have a vending machine at our bus stop??? I never noticed that!"

Allrightie, that's all the time I have for now! I'll remember where I left off and catch up soon!!! I'm loving your TR so far!

Okay next time we plan a trip at the same time, we'll probably schedule the same parks again so we'll have to arrange to stop and meet sometime! Dole Whip?

Great update! Love the plan to get Soarin FP's before breakfast, although that's strange that the ticket has to be swiped in order to get FP's. Who knew? :confused3

Breakfast at Kona looks great! That Tonga Toast looks soooo good...but I'm not a huge banana fan! So I don't know if I would like it! I feel like any time something has bananas in it, they overpower everything and that's all I taste!:rotfl:

Love your pictures from the Seas! Whenever I try to take pictures of the animals in the water, they end up looking like dark shadows in blue water, your pics are so clear and colorful! :thumbsup2

Ok, I'm at the end of Day1. I just wanted to say that I bought the same "Sorry girls, I'm taken" shirt for MY little brother! It's just such a great shirt! He isn't actually taken yet....but it's still very nice.

Ok, back to catching up

I just signed on to follow your TR! I'm way behind (only read Day 0 Part 1 so far) and I see my big distraction will be your awesome pictures! I was about to read Part 2 but I keep skipping all the text and looking at your photos! (Score 1 for Adult ADD! :goodvibes). I'm so jealous! I wasn't able to take any "good" pictures at WDW for a couple of years because my boys were wearing their cranky pants the last 2 trips!!! Can't wait to read about your magical time!

Fun TR! Im just jumping in now - but loving it :) Excited to start Day 3 now!

Ok, I'm finally all caught up.

It's too bad you slept in for your ADR! But definitely awesome you were able to get a later one. That tonga toast looks so yummy. I love bananas.

Everybody says Ohana is way too much food, but it seems like a really good all-u-can-eat.

I've never really wanted to eat at SciFi, but after reading your post, I do!

My favorite, Hello Kitty!

I love Hello Kitty too! I even have a Hello Kitty tattoo!

How was the food at Teppan Edo? I've always wanted to go there... but we have a lot of Teppanyaki style Japanese restaurants here at home that we eat a lot... So when I'm at WDW, I like to experience restaurants that are totally different than what we can get at home. But if the food is really good, then it might be worth making a point to go to at some point...

Even though I’ve been on this ride countless times, the beginning, where they do the countdown before you are flying into the darkness, always kind of freaks me out a bit even though I know what’s going to happen. I think it’s the anticipation.

That scares me too!!!!! I'm actually even more scared when I'm in line watching all the cars zip off! It looks so scary!!!!!! They go so fast! And I know when you're in the car and you start going fast it's not scary at all! But I still get soooo nervous before the ride! But of course I end up enjoying it so much!!!!!

We then went to catch the Indiana Jones action show.

Do you happen to remember the name of the stunt actor that played Indiana Jones when you saw it?? A really good friend of one of my friends plays Indiana Jones in the show! I imagine they have more than one actor playing Indy... I was just wondering if you saw him or not! His name is Ray...

I was really really happy I got the shot of the Alien! I was so psyched!

Awww! I was too far away to even see the Alien! Let alone get a photo of it! You got such a good photo!!!!!!! The movie Alien terrifies me and gives me nightmares!!!!! I tried watching some of Aliens, but got too scared to even finish the movie!!! So the Alien part of The Great Movie Ride is really scary for me! But it's a fun scary and it's my favorite part of the ride!

Back at POFQ, DH took a nap while I went to take some pics

Haha! This happens a lot with me and The Boyfriend whenever we go to WDW!

I love that picture!!!!! You should post it over at my favorite thread: How about pictures of alcoholic drinks?
