I was reading a sample MK 1day Toouring plan & #2 states ride Dumbo twice bu useing this as described in the Unofficail Guide. Can anyone help me out?

Also has anyone subscribed to TouringPlans.com & if so what did you think?

I think it means that one parent gets on line with the child - the other parents lets about 30 people get in line and then gets behind them. After the first parent is finished with the ride they pass the child (chuck bubba) to the other parent who is now towards the front to ride with the child. This way the child gets to ride 2x without waiting on line the 2nd time.

The Unofficial guide has the number of people to let by for each popular ride. We tried it, but unfortunately it doesn't work too good, too many groups get in line together or let the little ones sit on a bench and scoot in at the last second (great idea, but bad when you're trying to count! :goodvibes )

That's exactly what the relay is, except the number of people varies by attraction. Here are the details from my 2005 Unofficial Guide:

1. Mom and kid enter line.
2. Dad lets X people go ahead of him, then gets in line.
3. Ride ends, and Mom hands kid to dad to ride again.

Here are the people counts for X:

Tea Party 53
Dumbo 24
Peter Pan 64
Snow White 52
Carrousel 75
Magic Carpets of Aladdin 48

Triceratops Spin (at AK) 56

Thanks guys for the quick reply ~ chuck Bubba :goodvibes that's so cute!!
Also, thanks so much for sharing your experience, was dumbo the only ride you tried it on? Anyone else?

I can see it working for rides where the queue is outside, like Dumbo, Carpets and Carousel, oh and Tri Spin. I would imagine it's a real pain to get past people to find your line person at some of those other attractions. Anyone able to do it?

I've been reading The Unofficial Guide for years - have bought each new edition every year, and have laughed at this and other funny examples in the book. I have read this particular one dozens of times, and in all of those readings, I have always assumed Chuck Bubba was the name of the reader who inspired the idea. It never occurred to me until about two minutes ago that "Chuck Bubba" meant "toss kid".

I am such an idiot.....

I just tried searching for a history of the name and could not find more than what it said in the guide, "named in honor of a reader in Kentucky".
