Chuck and Lynn Go to Mousefest! New 5/4!

Must remember to find the balcony at the Grand Floridian! I know I have probably told you about this before, but the GF has always been my favorite WDW hotel -- ever since it was built. I used to dream about staying there when I was little. Oh, I still do (who am I kidding)!

Lawd, Lynn, I hope you find some shorts or the weather gets cooler (not cold, just cooler). Oh, but thinking about other TRs written about this weekend, I think I know what happens. ;)

This update just made my afternoon. I love seeing you enjoy WDW, you look so happy and peaceful enjoying your happy places. :goodvibes

The tropical Christmas Tree is too cute! And as always, wonderful photos.

I'm glad I brightened your day. I just wish there were more pictures of Chuck and I together. Chuck will not hand "precious" over to a stranger so mostly it's just pictures of me. :guilty:

You know I have a soft spot for the Grand Floridian, but the Boardwalk is my new love! I want to stay ther so badly. There are a couple DVCs there up for resale...Wouldn't that be something?

Did you go back to school today? There was much whining and groaning in my house this morning.

That is why Marc wanted a point & shoot camera, he was freaking when I was handing my camera to CM's. It made me a little nervous but I wanted pictures of the two of us. Marc is so excited to use his P&S in Disney, I don't hand my camera over too often. :rolleyes1

I had my little FUJI with us, but I was just so out of it, I never thought much about pictures. Luckily, Chuck did!

What an awesome update! You got some great shots of the Grand Floridian and all the decorations. I'm also enjoying your CBR pictures since we've never stayed there before. I love seeing all the different resorts!

Hi Chuck and Lynn! I haven't caught up yet but wanted to mark my place for later! I've been way behind in my DISing and have lots of reading to do! Looking forward to another fabulous report from you two!

I wasn't groaning today. My DH was though. He had to put on his white shirt and tie for the first time in 5 days.
I SO can't wait to hear the story behind the shorts. Don't leave us hanging too long!:confused3

I would like to point out that if we were anywhere else other than Disney, my decision not to hand a complete stranger my ‘precious’ would not even be questioned. (Of course I go back to a previous observation that WDW is the ‘only’ place in the world where a grown man can go into the men’s room, with every conceivable type of camera or AV equipment slung around their neck and not get the police called on them, much less a second look.

I have never been on a Disney bus .

Have never utilized the bus system <Gasp!>. :scared1:

As one who spends roughly 8 – 10 hours a day in a car, I love not having to drive. And besides, nothing beats that last ride of the day where you are crammed on a bus with 70 other (sweaty) people (Unless you are staying at a Deluxe resort, then it’s more like 10. Lynn and I have noticed that the level of resort you stay at is in direct correlation with the amount of people that can stuff themselves onto a bus….ie, when we have stayed at AKL and Poly, many times there were ‘several’ open seats and No Body stands!.
The moderates do a good job of getting a fair amount of people on….but the values….Oh yeah, they can pack the equivalent of a small third world country on one bus…
I have never heard the phrase “we’ll just wait for the next bus” uttered in the Pop Century line. Your BO may have he consistency of mustard gas or a toxic nerve agent and my nose may be inches away somebody’s arm pit (this would only be if they are standing, holding onto a handrail - I don’t make it a habit of putting my nose in people’s pits!)…but hey I can deal with anything if I can just get onto a bus and not be stuck in the bus loading line after the park closes (or as I like to refer to it as ‘ the ninth level of heck!)’.

Of course you could always be down there during Pop Warner weekend and be stuck on a bus full of Cheerleaders who feel the need to share ‘all’ of their cheers….now that would be a whole new level of heck (Dante couldn’t even imagine anything so hideous).:confused3

Hi Lynn - I am enjoying your trip report - I would love a couples only trip - but with only one DD(10) - I think it might be hard to sneak out of the house! I'll live through your report for now. We were just in Disney early December - but So want to go back!

Thanks for sharing your adventures!

Another great update and set of pictures! The view from the GF of the Poly is great! How did the gingerbread from the house taste?

Thanks! I'd love to stay in the all. We are well on our way to doing that. We've stayed at 9 so far.

all caught up! I love the excitement that comes through your writing! :goodvibes

I'm so glad our excitement comes through. Other people's trip reports get us through tough times and I hope ours can do the same!

I went back today -- the kids don't go back until Wednesday -- I was the only one groaning at our house ;).

I'll bet they are groaning tonight!!

Hey! Let us know what you think so far. I think we will have some guest stars later on.....

Poor DH! I had to go back today. Yuck.

Your day will come! It took a couple of years and a couple of cancellations to get this trip together. It's hard to believe this time last month we hadn't even left yet and I am so ready to go back. hose APs are calling to me.

It was okay. I don't realy like gingerbread, but you have to try a piece, right? It smells really good, though.
That view is something I try to put in my mind during especially stressful times.:)

I love this entire post....it's too funny!!!!!!! Thanks Chuck for the laughs!!:lmao:

Hey you two! I haven't been around in a while and I thought I'd check up on you guys to see what trip you have been on recently. I"ll have to go back and see how everything went at Mousefest.

You better believe it. I think Connor stomped his way to bed, he was so disgruntled about being back into a regular routine. Oh well. ;)

Poor thing! Bedtime isn't quite as bad this week as morning. Definitely tons of groaning!

Hey! Glad you are back! What's been going on with you?

Day One Part Five

We parted with Heather and considered taking the internal shuttle back to the room. I thought I could make the walk. It is pretty after all.

Back in our room, there was a surprise! A gift bag with my name on it was waiting on the bed!!! It was a birthday present from our dear Heather.

Love this card!

Can you tell I am excited!

Inside the bag was a small box wrapped in princess paper with my favorite princess Snow White on the top!

Inside the box was a beautiful red bag and inside the bag was a Jungle Book pin! If you’ve followed our family’s adventures, you know the Jungle Book is the movie that was released the year I was born. My fortieth birthday trip report was called the Jungle Book, Chickfila and me and that is the trip where we met Heather. It was a very special gift and she is a very special friend!

(I wish my pin pictures were better.)

After all the excitement, I needed a nap!

That is so super sweet of Heather! What a nice gesture and what a cool pin! Of course, Jungle Book is one of my favorite Disney films -- I can never get enough Bagheera or Shere Khan!
