Chuck and Lynn Go to Mousefest! New 5/4!

Sounds like a good trip down, how weird that you were the only ones in the building

BTW I thought of you guys on my trip, in my recently renovated CSR room with all the inroom dining menus etc was a small catalogue selling all the resort bedding, furnishings etc :rotfl:

Hey! I was just thinking of sending you a PM the other day. I know you've been really busy. Did you move to England? I'm so glad you came by. We all understand about being too busy to do a report. You will always be my DIS friend, no matter what! :thumbsup2

I have not moved to England yet but I am there right now. I am visiting DH for Christmas and New Years...a total of almost a month. I am still waiting to hear from the Air Force on if I can go back Active Duty and that is what is holding up the move. I will make sure I keep you up to date on it though. Our trip in Oct. was great...we had some great meal, surprises, and an upgrade to Concierge.

Now about your trippie. I am sorry you were so far away but at least the building was empty and you didn't hear tons of people late at night. I can't wait to see how the rest of your trip went.

Merry Christmas to all our DIS friends! May all your Christmas dreams come true!

Merry Christmas!!!

I am looking forward to more of your TR. :)

Hope everybody had a fantabulous Christmas day! Hopefully it will stop snowing in Seattle one of these days so I can hit the after Christmas sales and make up the lost shopping time from last week's snow siege.

Thank you everyone for the lovely Christmas wishes! It was a quiet day for us, ostly a blur for me because I've been so tired. I like Christmas, but I'm anxious to get things back to normal.

Trip report update coming right up!

Author's note: After I read over this update, I realize I am doing alot of complaining. I don't feel right about complaining about anything about our trips since I am so lucky to have a trip at all. Please realize I am so grateful for the time we had there and chalk up my whineyness to sickness. This update is kind of dull anyway. It will get better. Thank you.

Day One Part Two

It was a lot warmer that day than the weather channel had told me, so Chuck changed into some shorts and I discovered that with my limited brain capacity, I had packed my work pants instead of my cute capris. Doh! I guess it would be jeans for me.

So we began our trek to the Food Court. There was a nice path along the water that led there and it didn’t look far.

Here’s where we are starting from!

Here’s the quiet pool at the next building over.

There was a nice little beach.

We found the end of our set of buildings.

Look! There’s a bridge in the distance!

We made it to the bridge.

How much further now? Let’s check the map!

About half way there!

More walking for us.

At least the view is pretty.

Here’s the boardwalk around the pool.

The grounds around the food court building were beautiful, but by this time, we were starving.

The food court was packed. Usually on our trips we are in the park and looking for lunch by 10:30 AM, so we’ve never tried to eat at our resort at this time and now I can see it was a good call. We found a not so long line and got bacon, egg and cheese croissants.

We sat up in this cute little area next to the window.

Here’s our view.

Here’s the sandwich.

It wasn’t bad. I got a shot of the light for LL.

Tummies full and happy, we were off to MK!!

I don't think you've been complaining :confused3

Sounds like a great morning!! Lots of walking!

Yowza. When you said North Pop Century you weren't kidding! That is quite a hike!!! At least you could walk off some of the vacation calories you were sure to consume? :confused3

I also didn't think you were complaining. No worries! :goodvibes

WOW!!! What a HIKE! You just reaffirmed my desire to not stay at CBR or CSR! I thought POR was big. At least you didn't have any whiney kids with you. Mine would not have enjoyed that walk. Your sandwich looked yummy though. ;)

I didn't read any moaning at all Lynn :)

That really was a long walk, good job the views were nice!

That is a pretty long walk! I couldn't believe how far away that building is and how you could see Pop until I saw the map and it all put it in perspective! I am glad you finally made it to breakfast and am looking forward to seeing how the rest of your trip went.

On a side note...I am glad that you had a nice Christmas. Ours was nice and quiet besides me getting made at my Celcius covection oven. It was my first time doing a big meal here and it was a little difficult to get used to but did eventually get the Turkey breast cooked. Do you have any plans for New Years? We are going to be in London for the night...braving he cold and crowds but it will be a fun night.

The far end of Trinidad South makes the boonies look close! It makes me realize what a good favor we did for someone once. We had gone by the Custom House for something late one evening and noticed a couple heading off dragging their luggage, saying they would walk to their building. I asked where they were and when they said Trinidad South I forced them into my car and drove them there.

I loved the pictorial walk - I am crazy for the grounds and gardens at the CBR, especially with the jaunty caribbean music playing in the background.

Aside from the food court, what was the thing that the photos had in common?

That's right, no people! We hardly saw anyone until we got to the food court..that was kind of nice.

I didn't think you were moaning, Lynn!

What a long walk! At least the scenery was super gorgeous!!!

Looking forward to seeing the fun you had at the Magic Kingdom!

I got the new Passporter yesterday, Lynn! Now if it were only time for our June trip!
