Is this attraction still open at MGM Studios?

I was just there in December and didn't even know there WAS an attraction for that? If there is where is it located?

we just returned from WDW 2/19 and yes it was open. It was a little disappointing though. I expected more.

It's at MGM on Mickey Avenue. I'm SO excited for this attraction because I am a huge Narnia fan but i've heard from many people that it was disappointing.

This attraction is still open. My youngest DS lives, eats, and sleeps Narnia. He really liked the attraction. He loved walking into the wardrobe, seeing the White Witch and then insisted on seeing everything in the exhibit afterward. I think to him it was really magical.

It's not on the map and although it has only been a week since I was there, I forget where it was! I believe the entrance was near Voyage of the Little Mermaid which places it on or near Mickey Avenue. There was also a Narnia photo spot where you could place yourself in a snowy scene -- and it sometimes really snows. Cool effect but I seem to think I saw that on exiting the little show.

Anyway, the Narnia thing is like a movie "preview." You go through the large wardrobe door and stand during a movie clip in a snowy set. The White Witch does make an appearance on a balcony. Then when the movie clip is done, you exit to a room with a couple of props/costumes -- I think it all took less than 10 minutes.

I found it rather interesting, but don't expect too much.

Ok did that take the place of where Chicken Little was? When did this open?

It is right next to Millionaire. The queue is a little out of the way.

It is a little disappointing. My DD and I did it today. You go in and walk through the big wardrobe door, into the scene in the movie with the lampost. It is pretty - lined with snowy trees. The floor looks like snow. There is a big movie screen, where they show clips. At one point up above to the right the Ice Queen comes out, and says a few lines. When the movie clips are done, you walk by Mr. Tumnus' (sp) doorway, and into an area that has some of the props from the movie.... That's it all done - you walk out side, and to the right is a photo op of the lampost and a huge poster that you can sit in front of so it looks like you are in Narnia. I haven't downloaded my pics yet, but will post when I do.

We waited less than 10 minutes, so that was not bad. Not something I would rave about, but it reminded me how awesome the movie was......

My biggest complaint was that they "herd" you into the attraction in a large group and completely fill the room so you really don't get to look around, you just watch the movie trailer and see the witch. No time for photos with the wardrobe or in "Narnia". We barely even got to see the the Wardrobe and appreciate the effect since the crowd was pushing in.

Same thing at the end. I enjoyed looking at the costumes and props but it was so crowded you had to fight to get from one side to the other to see everything (there isn't much) and most are just trying to leave so you are fighting an upstream battle. The CM's were also directing us to leave and not encouraging us to look around. I forced my family to stay with me and pushed my way through the line that was leaving because we really wanted to look at everything. I just wasn't set up very well.

By the way, I was there a few weeks ago and the park crowds were minimal so this wasn't because of high attendance--just the way that Disney has it set up. It is a small space and the end display is just along the short path to leave, a path really only big enough for about 2 to walk side by side. I suppose if you went in the early morning when few have made their way there then there will be less to go in with you.

LoveToScrap is right about the herding into a small space -- we were put in a little room with the big wardrobe door and it was mighty tight. Plus there was a person on a scooter to fit in too -- told to wait so they can go first and the huge wardrobe door swings OUT into the crowded room! I thought the people near it would be clobbered. Not knowing what to expect was rather unnerving!

Just a place to visit on the way to other shows. If we are honest, it is a big commercial. Since I had not gone to the movie, I am now more interested in trying to see if it is still around or waiting to get the DVD so .... I guess it did the trick for me!

Go early or when there aren't as many people to squish you!

We were there MLKjr. weekend and had no crowds in the attraction. Both of us enjoyed seeing it, and we didn't feel rushed at all.

My girls (12,9,6,5) loved it, as they also do the movie and the books. We were there on 2/13 when it was so cold, so they were all bundled up in coats, hats, scarves, & gloves, so the pictures we took were actually very realistic. So much so, that we intend to use this as our Christmas card photo this year!

We did not feel rushed at all. We did hang out in the waiting area until everyone else was in so that we were last in, last out, which provided us more time to look around and take pix without everyone else in them.

We aren't going until the first week of June. My 3 DS's are huge Narnia fans...anyone know if this attraction/exhibit is slated to be open through June?

I read somewhere that this set/attraction will be replaced with a promo set for the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Since that movie comes out in July, we can assume that the Narnia set will close in May or June to refigure everything for POTC. I am going down in mid-May, so I hope that I can squeeze in before it closes. I love Narnia!

Oh my gosh!!!! My DS8 loves Narnia!! We are going in December 06, I am keeping it a secret until then. I really wish I could tell him that! This secret is getting really hard to keep from my kids!

I have read that the Narnia exhibit is going to be replaced by Pirates when the new movie comes out. Sorry that you are going to miss it. My two DSs found it absolutely magical.

Oh, thanks for the info! The good news is that he also loves Pirates! I'm sure that will be his new phase by the time the new movie comes out later this year! But either way, I will be on the look out for the display!

It should be open until about June or July when it will be replaced by a tour of props from the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

This "attraction" is an embaressment to the word "attraction". My 7 year old who is reading all the books and loved the movies came out saying "I thought that was supposed to be fun".

It is what it is - an entry lobby with a huge oversized "wardrobe type thing". The doors aren't even the doors that open. Your doors are cut into what you would expect are the doors. You walk into a room surrounded with 1 row of snow covered trees. There isn't a transition. You walk through the wide open wardrobe into the room with the lamppost. There is a big screen in front. A light appears to the upper right. An actress lip syncs lines from the witch for about 30 seconds. Then the screen shows you an 8 minute preview of the movie while you stand there. Forward and to the right lights up a bit. Tumnus' door is embedded into the rocky wall. You walk past that and there are 3-4 spring-ish trees. Then there are some cases with memorabilia to look at - the exit door 10 feet in front of you is wide open, so as people herd out, it is hard to look at the props. And then you're on Mickey Avenue. Whoop-de-doo.

IMO, a complete waste of time. I already saw the movie - I don't need an 8 minute preview of it.
