So we are working on making our first trip to the Fort in October (hopefully!
)
And in looking ahead I was thinking how great it would be to get away from our dreary NJ weather and go camping the week after Christmas. Of course we can't do that locally - October camping around here has been frigid these past few years. I know that many of the FW board regulars are southerners so I was wondering - how far south would one have to go to warm up the week after Christmas? I know that weather varies and that it could be chilly even in Orlando, but in general - where could you go to walk on the beach, tent camp comfortably, etc. I was thinking maybe St Augustine and/or Cape Canaveral ... but are there places north of that that would work?
And I'd love any campground suggestions ... we tent camp, so that is a consideration. Thanks
