Well, another Holiday without my Sandi, I just wanted to tell everyone that will have to go through another Holiday without their Loved one, to Please Hug Tightly the ones that you do have, Cherish everyday, because you never know when it will be the last. God never Promised Us Tomorrow, Just One Day At A Time !!!!

Whenever I'm out and I see someone with their elderly mom, I just want to tell them to cherish each moment with them because, like you said, there is no guarantee how long any of us will be on this earth.

This is also my first Christmas without my Mom, she too passed away suddenly 8 weeks ago, and it has been very hard, as we were extremely close.

Remember .... even though we miss our loved ones terribly... it is our privilege to make the holidays special for the little ones in our lives... so that they can have wonderful memories!!

This will be our first Christmas without my mother-inlaw and my father. They passed away last January 3 days apart for each other. It was a very stressful time for our family since MIL was in ICU near our house but DF was in ICU 500+ miles away. I spent a lot of time driving back and forth and felt guilty for having to choose to be with one and not the other.

Yesterday, my DD overheard me listening to the last message on our answering machine that my dad had left. I told her that I just wasn't able to part with his voice yet and we hugged.

I usually erase messages right away but for some reason, I didn't that time.

Thank you so much for the reminder. I know for me I tend to take things for granted and it is great to have a reminder, what we really need to cherish and be thankful for.

My husband passed away in July. I miss him every minute of every day.

My DS (22) and I are doing pretty well. The Holidays will be difficult, of course, but we will be with family and that is comforting.

Best wishes to all who have lost a loved one. It isn't easy.
