Tell me about Christmas Week. We are passholders and have gone 100 times but we are looking to go Christmas week for the 1st time. Were should we eat for Christmas and Christmas Eve. Should we book dessert parties so we can see the fireworks? We don't really care about rides we are there to see the Christmas Stuff. We will be there 12-23 to 12-29. Give us all the hints and tips you have to make this magical. We have seen that the Characters Meet at Hotels in Special Christmas outfits does anyone have tips on that as we love to see that.

Thanks

I've been the last 2 years for a week at Christmas. The key is avoiding the Magic Kingdom on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We spent Christmas Eve at Hollywood Studios and Christmas Day at Animal Kingdom both years. We did Prime Time 50's for lunch on Christmas Eve for the 1st time 2 years and we were less than impressed. Last year we just did quick service on Christmas Eve. We did lunch at Tusker House both years on Christmas Day and it was fabulous. Mickey and Minnie meet in Christmas outfits at AK. Chip and Dale Hollywood Studios has Jingle Bell Jingle Bam every night and Sunset Serenade that runs continuously at night down Sunset Blvd. We a monorail crawl one day to see all the decorations the resorts as well. EPCOT has holiday around the world and the Candlelight Processional. Make dining arrangements for the Candlelight Processional so you don't have to stand in line for seats. You can find out who the narrators are online. Catch the storytellers in each country, it's so interesting. Christmas is magical at Disney, have a great trip!

For your meals for Christmas Eve/Christmas, I would go and see what is still open. A lot of the popular (and not so popular) places are all booked up right now.

We have a dessert party booked for MK fireworks on the 23rd and we also have a CP package on Christmas Eve. Still debating the Jingle Bell, Jingle Bam dessert party for Christmas. I've heard that the parks are insane at the fireworks time and the dessert parties make it more bearable.

Thanks there is tons of Dining still open as well i been looking. Right know we have the Trails End Buffet on Christmas eve and Christmas we have Hollywood and Vine to see them in the Christmas outfits

Christmas is my absolute favorite time to go. We have done it twice.
We do Epcot on Christmas Eve. The first year we did a Candlelight Processional package which was great. The next time, we didn't have the package, but sat in the courtyard of the American Pavillian and lcould hear the Processional and see most of it. The fist year we did Christmas Day brunch/lunch at Chef Mickey's and visited a bunch of resorts. We didn't try to go to a park that day. I think we had pizza for dinner. The next visit we went to AK on Christmas Day. I don't remember where we the, but it was probably a counter service - oh I remember now. We ate Christmas Breakfast at our resort then went to AK.

The 2nd year we did not make many reservations. We went with the intention of trying out a lot of the counter service places and food carts that we have skipped in the past because we were either full from eating or had an upcoming reservation at a table service.

Most of the characters at the regular spots were dressed in Holiday attire, so we didn't feel the need to to do anything special to get character pics

I would recommend doing the Candlelight Processional on Christmas Eve or Christmas if possible. We typically do the Candlelight on Christmas Eve and go to AK for the morning on Christmas. I would highly avoid MK on either day. We typically eat at resort on Christmas. Last year we ate at Artist Point. You could also eat at Hoop Dee Doo Revue for Christmas as there is a holiday version of the show. I think focusing on the Christmas stuff will be the right way to go as it will be rather crowded.
