Christmas Week Availability

I was on the WDW site researching pricing for Christmas week. Was hoping for either POR, POFQ, or one of the value resorts. The only thing that comes up is SSS or Cabins. Not interested in either one. I find it hard to believe with this economy and airline prices that they are sold out already. Anyone else have any luck with mods or values during Christmas week 08 from the web site or would I have better luck calling?

I don't know the exact dates you are putting in, because I just tried Decemeber 23 - January 1st which shows availability at both Port Orleans Frech Quater and Port Orleans Riverside.

I just put in the dates you mentioned and saw the same thing you already said about Saratoga Springs and Fort Wilderness only coming up with rooms. Maybe you can try calling CRO but with our experiences if it was sold out online, it was also sold out when we tried calling.

It looks like Jan 2 is the date causing trouble - if you could check out on Jan 1, both CSR and CBR come up on the WDW website for stays 12/26-1/1, but as soon as I add Jan. 2 the availability is gone.

Just something to consider!

You could also try checking expedia they sometimes have different availability. I was trying to help some friends that went over Christmas last year and they didn't decide to book until in Nov. We checked with travel agents also. The third one she tried had some rooms for POR. So maybe check with travel agents or check if just transferring to a different resort for your last night would work for you. Good luck. Keep checking often people do cancel and things could change.
