Christmas week ADRs ...

Called this morning to make our ADRs for Dec. 21 to Dec. 26.

Good news ... I was able to get dinner at the times we wanted at Spoodles on Dec. 21, Ohanna's on Dec. 22, CP Tutto Italia (got yesterday) for Dec. 23 and 50s Primetime for Dec. 24

Not so good news ... I wanted Artist Point for Christmas Day. First CM told me there was no availability at anytime. I called again and the second CM, a very nice gentleman named Don, checked for me and said that the restaurant is open but they don't have the holiday pricing in yet so I need to call back in the next day or two. I then asked for our second choice ... Yachtsman Steakhouse ... same thing.

I was able to get an ADR at Citrico's for Christmas Day around the time I wanted.

Wondering if anyone has had success getting AP or YSH on Christmas Day.

Will call again tomorrow and hope that there is some in the air.

Oh boy... That is NOT good news! I am calling tomorrow for my ADRs and hoping for Yachtsman Steakhouse for Christmas Day also. We ate at Artist Point for Christmas in 2006. I'll let you know what I find out! Thanks for sharing your information!

My sense in talking to CM Don is that there is availability but they are not booking yet ... he said something about the holiday pricing/info isn't in the system yet even though we are in the 180 plus 10 booking window.

I wonder if they are holding until the exact 180 day mark for some restaurants so everyone has a fair shot?

I read in an earlier post that someone else had tried to make a ressie for AP and was told they would have to wait a little while longer. Just wanted to let you know that it seems like Don gave you correct information!

After I read your post it sunk in that my first day of reservations is also 12/21. I think I had tomorrow as my 180 point because we aren't making an ADR for 12/21 so I panicked and called and sure enough I could make my reservations today So, I was 2 hours late in calling. I got everything that I wanted except Christmas Day for Yachtsman Steakhouse. I was just told that there is no availability so I made an ADR for Jiko as a backup.

I also could not get a CP package for either Tutto Italia or Le Cellier for 12/24. I got a regular ADR for Tutto Italia though so if I can't get it changed to a CP package, we'll just eat and stand in the "stand by" line. We've seen the show several times so I'm not too concerned if we get a "good" seat or not.

I have to call back at the exact 180 day mark for both Yak and Yeti and Raglan Road so I'll be making two more calls later in the week. At that time, I'll check again on the CP package and on Yachtsman Steakhouse.

I'm hoping to get 'Ohana on the 22nd and Prime Time for the 24th too... Perhaps we will run into each other . I make my ADRs tomorrow.

Glad I triggered a reminder and that you were able to get almost everything vsimeone! I reserved our CP at Tutto yesterday for the 23rd.

Good news!!

I was able to book Artist Point for Christmas Day dinner this morning

They are opening early (4 p.m.) so we were able to get an early ADR just as we wanted! I canceled my Citrico's ADR, which was my fall back for Christmas Day!

Now all that is left is the waiting

I've been done making my Christmas ADRs for about a week and its killing me...now I'm bored - I think this is the hardest part, all my planning is done - now what? hehehehe

I agree that planning is half the fun. Dh doesn't understand it although he certainly appreciates it

I actually revised some of my ADRs this morning based on TGM's recommendations for Christmas week. We are still eating at the same places ... just on different days.

I was surprised that I had no problem moving our CP from Tuesday to Monday at the same restaurant and same time. I am still kicking around the idea of going to AP on Christmas Eve and then Yachtsman's Christmas Day. I am not a huge Ohannas fan but DD and DH like it.

Think I will ask DH when he gets home
