Christmas Waitlist - What About ADR's?

Okay, right now we have reservations to stay at VWL for Dec. 21-26. But I am on the waitlist to get a 2BR at AKV for that time period. For Christmas Day, we want to eat dinner at whichever resort we are staying at - either Whispering Canyon Cafe or Boma. I am looking at making the ADR's in about two weeks at the 180 day point. The question is what would you do at this point? Is it okay to make ADR's at both and cancel one of them when/if the waitlist comes through or doesn't come through? Or is having two sets of ADR's considered a no-no?

I think you can still have 2 reservations at the same day and same time.

both restuarants are hotel restuarants - so still think you can.

now some theme parks restuarants I don't think so - Cindy's come to mind.

but really think you can.

I would call Disney dining and ask. In general, it's considered a no no to have two reservations for the same meal. After all, someone else won't be able to get that extra spot you're holding. The resort restaurants are very busy on Christmas too.

Normally, a credit card is required for Christmas Day reservations.

Perhaps make a reservation at WCC and then if the waitlist comes through, try Boma at that point. and in either case, if you have to travel to the other resort for a meal, you'll get to see two beautiful resorts in all their Christmas finery.

Unfortunately, I have a feeling if I wait on Boma, my chances of getting an ADR will be very low. I think I might would do the opposite and if the waitlist doesn't come thru try to get Whispering Canyon later on. The problem is, I have no idea what our chances of getting the 2BR at AKV are.

How about making a late lunch ressie at WCC and a dinner ressie at Boma surely that would be ok as it is for two different meal times?

Lol you posted as I was checking the menus out to see if WCC lunch and dinner were similar as I know Boma is dinner only!

I think they keep to nearly normal times ie 5pm opening.

I think Boma might open earlier on Christmas Day. Tried searching allears about it and couldn't find hours.
