First of all, I love Disney World!! And my children, DD6 and DS13 had a great time. We took a very leisurely approach to this trip, no more of the theme park commando mom of the past and we didn't see as much as previous trips but we were much happier and relaxed.
We stayed the first three nights at the POP and it was great. Spent two nights at the MVMCP and loved it. Wishes was absolutely wonderful. Spent one day at SeaWorld, wonderful animals but no pixie dust!! Then five nights at a studio at Old Key West (rm 4110). This was a smoking room and I don't smoke but it was this or the handicap accessible, so I took it. I was rather unimpressed with the cleanliness of the bathroom and the condition of the bathroom. The room was large but needed updating and a thorough cleaning. The location next to the village pool was great since the main pool was closed. The hot tub wasn't working and that disappointed my DS.
The weather was only cold for one day and the rest was quite pleasant. We spent one day at blizzard beach and my daughter hurt her toes on the bottom of the newly refurbished wave pool bottom surface. We were only there a short time but swimming in December was quite an experience and while we were there the snow storm in Illinois dumped a foot of snow at home.
I toured the Saratoga Springs and I got three Q & C lunch vouchers from the guide. We used them at Beaches and Cream, which was the best meal of the trip. We went to Chef Mickey's for the character dinner and it ran a close second. We also did a breakfast at Breakfastasaurus (sp?) and my DD6 Loved them both. All in all, not too bad.
I loved the christmas decorations and when I buy into the DVC, I will probably go with the BCV and a resale, the kids love to swim and the pool there looked great.
Thanks to the DISers and all their help in planning this trip. Happy traveling.
