Christmas Trees

Hi all,

Not sure if this is a silly question or not, but if you stay at WDW for Christmas (as in wake up there on Christmas Day), do they put a Christmas Tree in your room? I mean, you can’t have Christmas without a tree right?!

They don't do it for you, but I have heard of people bringing little tabletop trees if they wanted,

(And of course, there are plenty around - lobbies, parks, etc.)

The year we actually woke up there on Christmas, we were leaving that morning to drive to my dad's house, so we just had breakfast at the resort, and enjoyed his tree a couple of hours later.

That’s a shame! I guess the next question then is:
Is there any rule/reason that stops us from getting one? We’ll be there for 10days including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Would be great to have a tree in the villa!

Nope I say go for it! If your plans are to go every year at the holidays maybe look into an owners locker where you get a small fake tree and can store it and all the trimmings.

I am sure there is someone in the Orlando area who sells or rent Christmas trees with all the decorations. I would search for that. In Canada you can have a real one in a pot . I found three companies in 5 minutes.

I have heard people have trees, but I bet there is rule against live trees.

All it needs to be sure is a call ! I remember that 10 years ago Disney would sell a package to decorate the room for Christmas .

When we go at Christmas, my wife will go to the Dollar store and buy decorations. We then go to Walmart and purchase a 3-4 foot tree for approx $50. We are there from Dec 16-26 and then leave to go to a beach as it gets crowded. Nothing like having a tree in your room during Christmas at WDW
As Bobbiwoz had stated there was a Christmas tree exchange years ago that we used to participate in but it went by the wayside. Enjoy your holidays.

For our Xmas trips, We started packing a 5ft tree in its own suitcase (comes apart to allow for this). You could probably ship also?

I ordered a small live tree delivered to our room one year in December. I believe it was from Harry & David's, and the price was not cheap - over $60 I think for a tabletop tree. But it was fun to have a decorated live tree (with lights even) in our room during the holidays.

I've also ordered artificial tabletop trees from Amazon in the past, shipped to my Disney hotel. I don't recall details, but I see Amazon still sells them.

We brought a 6 ft pre-light tree and only used our disney decorations on it (there were plenty). For that trip we drove as we also had gifts for our young daughter. The tree looked beautiful at BLT in front of the big window overlooking the castle. The only downside was the long drive from NY, not sure I would do the drive again, instead maybe have something smaller delivered to the room and pack what I could and fly.

Nope. But Disney Floral use to sell one that was decorated for a few hundred dollars. We're cheap, so if we fly we buy one at Walmart and decorate it. Anything from table-top size to 5' depending on the space. Most years we drive down with a tree, decorations, stockings, and gifts.

We now have this same model of tree taking up space in our Owner's Locker! LOL!

(We've used it the last 2 years, and it is a nice touch. And super small. I ordered online and was able to fit the box in my rollaboard!)

We bought a little tree that we always take with us. We decorate our windows with Christmas decorations and so do many other people. We usually stay at the All Star resorts.
