DH and i had heard a few years back that on Christmas Eve, if you're staying at a WDW resort, that you can get a Christmas tree put in the room if you wanted.

i was just wondering if anyone knows if they still do this or not? i think it's a cute idea! we want to go on a trip one year DURING the holidays and i'd love to have a tree in the room on Christmas morning!

The last time I checked (several years ago now) you could order a fully decorated one (it was a small one, maybe 2 feet or so??) for about $300.

Needless to say, we brought our own. :teeth:

In 2007, we ordered a beautiful, fully lit, pre-decorated Disney-themed tree from "Peggys Sweets & More". It was totally worth it!! I can't recall the exact price...about $200.00.

Peggy is a DISer who used to have her own business, but now she works for the Disney florist. I think they are still doing Disney-themed trees.

I never heard of Disney doing this as a free service. The only trees I have ever heard of were the ones from Disney Florist and as PPs said, they are quite expensive.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the tree!

I'm not working for the florist any longer.

The Disney Florist does supply 4ft pre-light trees. The price of the tree is $395.00 plus $9.00 delivery fee plus tax. If you want the tree shipped home after you leave, the cost is $99.00.

I don't know if people ordered them or brought them with them, but each time I was at Disney around the Christmas season lots of the rooms had them.. Some people also decorated their window with lights, had Disney Christmas items on the lower shelf in the window, etc.. It was very pretty and festive!! :santa:

We have several small trees (about foot or foot and 1/2) that we bring when we are at Disney during the holidays. Once of them was purchased from World of Disney at Downtown Disney for about $20. I would try there before I spent $400 for Disney to put a tree in your room.

We also bring some of our Disney ornaments and use suction hooks to attach them to our window and string lights around our window. We have Mickey wreath that we hang on our door.

Personally, I'd rather head to one of the Disney Christmas shops and buy $400 worth of ordiments so I pick my own, have more of them, and decorate a larger tree.

You can pay to have one in your room. We just bring a tiny one that has mini lights and ornaments on it. It is predecorated and sits on the table in our room. We drive so transporting it is not a problem.

Believe it or not, there's a DIS Christmas Tree exchange over on the Budget Board. It's rather interesting. You sign up ahead of time, pay a little something and pass the tree along to another DISer staying at the same resort, after you.

thanks for all the info you guys!!

$200-$300 is kind of expensive for a 4-foot tree. DH and i actually have a smaller tree we had at our last place, so if we end up going during the holidays i think we'll just bring that one and some lights or something along with us.
