Does anyone know about the Holiday at DL tour? Are they doing one this year? This looked like something we would like. We love Christmas time. :goodvibes

Does anyone know where the parade seating for this tour would be? Wondering if the kids will be able to see OK?

The Holiday Tour is starting up again on 11/18. The parade seating is right across from IASW. They rope off an area with chairs and no one sits/stands in front of the area. It is a great viewing area! My 9 yr old son loved it so much last year that we are doing it again this December.

wow, that sounds like fun, how do you get to sit in the roped off area, do you have to take a tour, if so which one?

How much was it? Was the tour fun or interesting to kids? What was the treat? Sorry to ask so much questions but we're interested in the tour and want to kn ow what to expect. TIA

I would also like to know how much this is and what times the tours are. I checked everywhere and can't find any specifics yet. (Except info on previous year's tours and treats, but no price or times.) I have a DS11. Would he enjoy it? Would it be a 30 day or a 60 day advanced registration?

THANKS!! :earsboy: :earsgirl: pirate:

Tour - Holiday Time at Disneyland
The team at Guest Relations has created a delightful holiday experience with their guided tour "Holiday Time at Disneyland". During the tour, which lasts around 2 hours, you're treated to combination of stories about the history of Disneyland with a particular focus on Walt Disney's vision and stories of the various holiday traditions and decorations that can be found through the Park. Questions, guest input and personal anecdotes are encouraged throughout the tour. Guests will also be treated to the it's a small world holiday and Haunted Mansion Holiday attractions via FastPass access (pending availability and time permitting). Also included in the tour is a reserved viewing area for Disneyland's "A Christmas Fantasy" Parade across from IASW along with a holiday treat to enjoy during the parade (hot cocoa & a cookie) and a holiday pin - tickets are $49 ($39 with AP discount). Tours are timed to the parades. If there are two parades, the first tour is 2:30, the second is at 4:45/5 p.m. (depending on the day). You can make reservations up to 30 days in advance. For tickets, call (714) 781-4400. My 9 yr old son loved it last year and wants to do it again this December. It is very kid friendly - our guide had the kids lead the pack and be in charge of spotting people wearing holiday hats. I highly recommend the tour.

Thanks for the info. My family loves Chrismas so this sound like a great tour for us. Do you know if we would need to pay for our 1 1/2 yr. old? Is it OK to bring a stroller for him?

I would ask when you call but I know that not only do you do not pay for kids under 3 to get in the park but you don't pay for them at either Fantasmic! seating so I would guess you would not pay and I don't see why you couldn't bring a stroller.

I had a hard time convincing my DH to take a tour - he finally did and loved WIWF's but now I want to do the Holiday Tour - is it enough different information to make it worth the price? My husband says NO I think yes!!!
Has anyone done both?

I just got myself signed up for the tour today!!! This will be my first ever Disney tour, I'm usually too cheap to spend $$ on one when I've already paid for park tickets. I love the holidays so I'm making an exception for this one. Can't wait!

We have heard heard nothing but wonderful things about the tour! We book ours for THanksgiving this year. I am so excited. We are having Thanksgiving Dinner at the DLH Ballroom and then heading to the park for the Christmas Tour! I am so excited! Children under 3 are free.

Disney Visa catalogue says "20% off selected tours" I would guess the xmas tour is included in this

I took both tours last year, and most of the information is unique to each tour. You get lunch for the 3.5 hour WIWF tour but just a snack for the 2.5 hour Holiday Tour. WIWF was more focused on the history of Disneyland and Walt while the Holiday Tour concentrates on Christmas at Disneyland, and depending on your tour guide, you may get to learn about how Christmas is celebrated in other countries. If you're an AP member, you get $10 off until 12/11/05. I hope that helps.
