If we go to disney the week prior to thanksgiving week the 16-23 how much Christmas stuff is up? I've been reading and things say probably decorated or partially? I've seen the travel agent calendar and it shows the mvmcp for select nights. Bt is all the decor up? Will we miss anything going that early?

3- Will we miss anything going that early?

1- MK and DHS will be up.
Some resorts will be.

2- Yup.

3- Some will still be in process of going up until (virtually) all is complete by Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.
(MK Christmas Tree does not go up until the first full week in December.)

4- Epcot's Christmas events do not begin until Friday, the day after Thanksgiving.

Ok thanks!! I think we're ok without epcots stuff up but MK is the most important!! I'm thinking were changing our plans from Dec to Nov

We want to experience Christmas there tho especially at MK, do you think it's still enough that week? Or will we miss anything huge?

We went last year during that time wreaths were up so were candycanes, the show they did on stage characters were in costumes and at HS the tree was up and decorated.

We usually go in December. Last year due to work conflicts we ended up going in November. I didn't notice anything different in the Magic Kingdom. They played Christmas music, had the party and parade, decorations were all up. The only places that lacked the Christmas feel at that time was Epcot and the resorts. By time we left they were all decorated though, just the events at Epcot hadn't started. We were there the 2nd week in November, and caught the last 2 days of Food and Wine to give you an idea on a timeline.

The only thing you will miss at MK is the large Christmas tree.

That does not go up until after the Christmas parade is taped for future broadcast, during the first weekend of December.

There is a rumor that the garlands and wreaths over Main Street won't be up anymore, because the Festival of Fantasy floats are too tall. But we don't know that for sure yet.

The only time you can see the Christmas parade is: 1) during MVMCP and 2) during the broadcast taping. The Christmas parade will not be run as the regular parade at MK until after the last MVMCP.

We stayed at AKL last November, the 16th to 23rd. The decorations at the parks were up, but the narrators and candlelight processional at Epcot had not yet started. The decorations went up at our resort on the 21st, a week prior to Thanksgiving. They put up the large tree in the lobby and all of the wreaths beginning around midnight, it was all done in one night.
