Well then, short report: Weather today was nice, in between chilly and warm out, sunny and clear all day, crowds in MGM small, longest line '13' minutes at ToT. All right, business out of the way, now on to the long post. :)

Woke up this morning by Mickey at 6AM. As those who have read previous post recall I have been to bed after 2AM the first night and midnight the second. This is getting tiring. But we'll return to that later.

The reason for the early rising despite the 'relaxed' trip was my only PS, which was for Donald's Breakfast-asaurus, of course. I could do this breakfast every day. The food is fine, nothing special, nothing horrid, but the point is that this is the one character breakfast that you are guaranteed to see Donald. After all, it's named after him!

Now then, some of you may wonder, of all the characters, why do I like Donald so much? Because he is quite like myself, actually. My dad was quick to explode and my mom slow and steady. So I am a mix of the two. Quite patient, but tend to simmer until I'm pushed to far at which point I explode. (Though I've never gotten the cheek pouch quite right to explode in the proper voice.)

Back to the trip, this was my first DISer meeting, with Ohbaby1331, we had arranged to have breakfast together at the character breakfast. Met up with her just fine at the Dolphin, since I had the rental car. Breakfast at 8:10, met at 7:10. Okay. Anal. Too early. Got to AK at 7:20. No lanes opened. That's all right, we had Xmas music to listen to and improvised. Can't get in yet? Let's go see the decos at AK Lodge then! After a quick trip to see the beautifully decked out lodge, and a fight with my folks' digital camera that I had borrowed, we headed back to the AK and got into the lot. I have never been in the front row of a lot. It's quite odd. Regardless, we hopped out and headed over to the AK entry.

After checking in, we headed over to the Restaurant-asuarus, as I said, my favorite Character breakfast. Were seated fairly quickly, which was nice since I only had a sweatshirt on, and it was quite chilly at 8AM. We high-tailed it to the buffet, and each took turns taking each others' pictures with Goofy, Mickey, Donald and Pluto. Breakfast food was good, nothing spectacular, but tasty enough, but I was there for the company regardless.

We had the Milton Berle of waitresses, however, which was quite amusing. Since working a buffet, and not really having to bring us anything except beverages, she had an apron full of goodies. I sat down with my food and she came over, offering the 'ketchup' we had requested to my guest, at which point a nice red line of ketchup shot out of the bottle and was then retracted back in. Got her, and myself, actually. Where can I get one of those? She also had a squirting camera that she got myself and everyone around our table with. (It was much more amusing watching her use these toys on other unsuspecting peole than myself.)

Long story short breakfast was great and I got pictures of myself with the gang. (I think I've already taken more pictures with characters on this trip than I have in all previous trips combined. :)

Oh, funny story that I forgot to mention in yesterday's post, but you're reading this one, so you're stuck with it regardless. When talking to my uncle, I slipped and said "I got home Sunday" meaning down to WDW. I corrected myself that I got to WDW on Sunday, but he chimed right in saying, "No, this is obviously your home since you come here so much." True enough.

So breakfast was great, and my fellow DISer and I parted ways with thanks to each other afterwards, as I headed over to the BCV to check in. My room was not yet ready so I headed over to MGM while waiting.

Today was a rather menopausal day, no offense to any sufferers, but it's a perfect description. I kept swinging between hot and chilly in my sweathshirt and jacket.

First stop, the RoRC, of course, then headed over to Millionaire. For those who don't know, last time I was here I landed the hot seat and lost at 250K. I'm determined to land it again and go all the way this time. Wasn't time for a show, however, so I mosey-ed (anyone figure out the spelling for this yet?) over to look at the Osborne lights pre-lit.

Quite the amount of work that went into that. Can't wait to see it, tomorrow, I think. Caught Mulch, Sweat and Sheers, a rock band, on New York Street. As I said in my previous post, Disney is home to some FANTASTIC musicians, and it boggles me that some people never stop to hear them. The same people that can't understand why we return continually.

Enjoyed the group and headed back to Millionaire. Made the top ten once, though I wasn't really trying. Was tired today and wasn't quite ready for the hot-seat yet. (Everyone knows the trick to get into it, right? Other than knowing the answers, that is...) So I held back and enjoyed watching other guests in the chair.

By the time I got out and got a pretzel to eat it was two, so I decided to hoof back to the BCV since my room was probably ready. Lo and behold and surprisingly, it was not. (For anyone at the Boardwalk, Beach or Yacht Club, however, if you don't mind walking, it is quicker to walk from MGM to any of these resorts than to take the boat if you don't see the boat at the launch.)

Oh well, back at BCV, I decided to drop off my coat, (it finally decided to stay warm for a while,) and headed over to Epcot to kill time until the DVC mixer at 3, since my room wasn't ready yet.

Swung through France to see if Belle was there (she often is), but alas, no luck. Headed over to Canada instead, because when I can't have Belle, Canadian girls are my next favorite. Must be in my blood, eh? Watched Oh Canada for who knows how many times. It's a nice film, though a little dated and definitely not quite long enough to truly do Canada justice. Nice big hair, eh? Get a touque, will ya?

Movie done, ogling done, I headed back over to the International Gateway for the mixer. They had a wonderful group of carolers who were most appreciative that I was one of the few to actually stop and really listen to them, a nice string quartet after them, and some character photo stops. Oh yeah, they also had cider and cookies. Not a fan of hot cider, but you all know my feelings on cookies. 7 or so cookies later I decided it was time to move on.

Back to the BCV I finally had a room assignment, so I headed to the lot, grabbed my bags and after reaching my room, unpacked. At this point, I had done quite a bit of walking all day for the last few days and decided that the best remedy was to use the hot tub while still warm enough outside. (Well, almost, I was the only taker and had several strange looks for being in the hot tub at 60 degrees out.)

After 25 minutes total, in between checking out the pool, which was too cold and back to the hot tub, I decided it was time to retreat back to the room, quite certain I had been boiled to sterility. I headed back upstairs and started some laundry while I did Day 2's trip report.

Once the laundry was done, my next stop planned was to go to Jellyrolls since it was CM night and was sure to be hopping. But I wanted a nap first since I had been exhausted all day long.

Here's where flying solo is not such a plus. I hadn't set any sort of alarm at 6 o'clock when I laid down for a quick nap. After which I woke up at 9:30, quite in shock. I couldn't believe I was out so long. Obviously, my body won the Springer war with my mind and got some needed sleep.

Upset I didn't get up sooner, I headed over to the Boardwalk and got a slice, since I planned on having beers and needed something to soak it up. Snarfing it down, I headed over to an already full Jellyrolls. (Will just have to go back, I guess.) It was definitely a rocking place on Tuesday night, with the CMs singing along and requesting and dancing all night. Found a seat and still had a great time despite the late arrival.

Which takes me back to now, my inebriated self, writing this report. If you haven't realized that fact yet, you can thank spell check. If you have, I guess unlike some, I'm not quite as amusing after a few drinks. But that's all right, I am relaxed, apparently, considering my nap.

Anyway, off to bed now, until tomorrow, when perhaps I shall claim my cruise... Good night all.

Day four for those brave enough to continue...

I'm loving your reports! I'm still hoping that I may see you in the World over the next few days - we arrive tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon!

According to Microsoft Word's spell check, moseyed is the correct spelling for the past tense of mosey and moseying is also correct. I couldn't resist the pleas since I am a teacher.

Your reports are great! I'm glad you are having such a great time

Ok! I guess I'm the only one who doesn't know ... What is the trick to getting into the hot seat?

:confused3

How can you write about Jellyrolls in your trip report and not tell me which of the piano players you saw? Or at least described them? That's important stuff, you know ;)

Karen

Thank goodness someone told you the correct spelling of mosey, I was just getting ready to grab the dictionary. Another great report. :D OK, now I'm really going to stop reading and finish wrapping. Will have to finish your reports tomorrow.
