Ok, let's be honest, how many of you started Xmas shopping already?
I did! I did!

I started when we were at Walt Disney World the week before last! I started picking up some little things for my son. :goodvibes

I've tried but haven't found anything yet. It's not helping that DD can't decide what she wants  .

Not me. I'm going to do a lot of it at the world Showcase at EPCOT.

I am actually almost finished. :teeth: The only things I have not purchased yet(bike, etc) are too big to buy right now because I have no place to hide them. Oh, and I have to get a CD that comes out tomorrow.

I was at the opening of Farm and Fleet Toyland at 7 am Saturday getting Spongebob Monopoly and some plug and play TV game for my cousin. It was like Wal-Mart after Thanksgiving! I'm officially ready for Christmas!

I already have 3 gifts each for my kids ~ DS9 and DD7!

Joshua is into Cars this year ~ so I am redoing his room with Lightning McQueen stuff ~ he has a race car bed and Nascar border so it shouldn't be too much of a stretch.

Allison is still into Princesses ~ which I love ~ so I am just getting her some lamps etc. to spruce up her room.

Family wise - we have cut back big time on the extended family ~ it is just too much and we don't really "need" anything. I told my parents to get all of us kids (with homes and mortgages) Home Depot gift cards so we could do some updates and not feel guilty :guilty:

My parents are the hardest to buy for. They are 75 and retired and have everything they need. They do drive to Florida for 5 weeks in February so I will probably get them a cracker barrel gift card and some treats for the drive. My dad has a thing about wasting wiper fluid so I will get him a new bottle to use while on I75.

Merry Christmas and Happy Shopping ~ I love this time of year!

Teresa

Show off.

I always start X-Mas shopping in August. :)

We also always buy our girls stocking stuffers while we are in WDW in September :teeth:

Ok, that brings me to the next question..........I have a 2 yr old, when do I know if I am going overboard or being cheap? :confused3

I'm nearly done!

I work full time and have a busy lifestyle with a family and sports.

I have them wrapped and hidden until that glorious day! So, I can enjoy the holidays just before they arrive.

My son is 5, and this is the first year I am actually getting anything for him I would consider expensive. When he was 2, he really didn't know what he wanted yet, so I didn't spend a lot of money on things he might not want. I bought him stuff like books and Little People toys.

I've already bought a few things... now I just have to hide them, and then remember where I've hidden them!! I usually find a couple of little presents in my closet when I'm rearranging!!

So far I just got him books, puzzles and DVD's. He loves Thomas the train though, and that stuff is expensive. I was thinking about trying to get some of the pieces to add to his track, but then I think geez, these are the cheap years, what am I thinking? I was just curious if I am being cheap by only spending like 100.00 on him. :confused3

We've started, but are nowhere near finished. We've wrapped about half of what we have! That's the part that seems crazy to me. But, it's fun to walk in the spare room and see the wrapped packages.

Pretty much done here too! I shop through the year plus I own Kimberly-Clark stock which offers giftboxes that I ship to a bunch of people. Just finished placing a food gift order for some relatives and DH's was bought on sale a while back. DH has a computerized sewing machine that embroiders so he bought a bunch of towel sets on sale a few months ago so he's going to be busy doing them.

Two great gifts I got- a dear friend of mine named Julia is going to get a bottle of Chardonnay from- get this- Santa Julia! Love it!

The other gift is something I saw in the back of a Paula Deen magazine. A woman melts wine bottles down to a cheese tray. The label is put inside so you can view it (if it is light glass). A friend is getting married so I am having their wedding invitation "melted" inside a bottle. They also have a hook on the top so it can be hung for display. I feel pretty sure no one else is getting them this!

I've started..we'll be in WDW from Dec 8-16 and being away in December plays havoc with my planning/shopping/baking.
So i hope to have everyone but th ekids done by the time we leave, and the kids I want abotu 1/2 their stockings done and 4 gifts bought..then in WDW I can buy stocking stuffers and 3 or 4 gifts there if I find something they need.

My son is a freak for Star Wars so I assume I'll find stuff he NEEDS at the SW store in MGM. ;)

And if I don't find 3 or 4 gifts for them down there, I'll pick those up the week we get back.

I am already thinking of starting to make my cookie dough soon-I'm going to freeze 6 or 7 batches and then just bake them the week before Christmas.

I am almost done also ( with the kids anyways) my DD is 99% done. My neighbors kids are done as well as our close friends kids ( well I still need a gift card and the itsy bitsy spiderman, that I cant find anywhere)
my neice is 99.9% done. kid wise is just need a few cousins and 2 kids that babysit for, have no idea what to get them..
