Hi all
its a little over 2 weeks til we're off for the DDs birthday and the start of Christmas season and I'd like to know what we definately have to see as its our 1st Christmas time trip.

Whats in Belles Christmas Village? It sounds lovely but info is a bit thin on the ground!

Trying to make time go faster but it just wont :confused3

Mickey's Winter wonderland is a MUST! (In Frontierland near Santa's Grotto)

If you do go, make sure you get in early and sit about three rows from the front (centre of stage) that way you get snowed on

Sad but we enjoyed it! Lol:santa:

Belle's Christmas Village is a row of little wooden stalls in Storybook land. It runs from near the windmill down to the bridge for Casey Jr.

There's around 10 stalls that sell mainly food and toys.

The food is mainly christmas delicacies (e.g. roasted chestnuts).

It's a nice extra and it adds to the atmosphere but you'll only spend 2 minutes there.

We were there for our first Christmas trip last year.

Our favourite things:

The parades - fantallusion, DS age4 loved this, ouad, seeing this just as it was getting dark with the Christmas music, Santa and marching toy soldiers. Not normally a parade person but it was great almost makes me want to go and put the cd on.....

The snow in main street, DS was well confused that holiday as to what was real snow and what was fake.

Small world - all the Christmas touches and changed music.

The castle lighting up - was reading about a new show where they will incorporate the lights on the castle which sounds good.

The Christmas show with the ice skating at the theatre in frontier land.

Never really noticed belles village, didn't see Santa, Joe didn't want to.

you will probably see me at Santas Grotto in Frontierland when its dark kizzabel, with a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye :flower3: - its so beautiful all lit up.

Definitely Mickeys Winter Wonderland and the OUAD parade with the Santa bit added. The Christmas tree lighting ceremony is fun, and the castle lighting show is always breathtaking, I'm really looking forward to the fairies doing it this year .

I don't know if it will be the same this year, but in previous years Belle and the Beast had scheduled meet n greets in Belles Christmas Village (Belle was in her blue dress and red cape jacket when we met her there, it was very quiet and no scrums at all).

Fantillusion is lovely if you haven't seen it yet, unfortunately IASW won't be all Christmassy yet when we are there.

Oh, and listen out for the tinkly music on Main St (you can hear it in the shops too) - it heralds the "snow" on Main St and it makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end :cloud9:.

omg I can't wait now - see what you've done lol :rotfl:!

You can hear it in the toilets as well!!

I know it's a little thing, but I LOVE the fact that they pipe music everywhere. The xmas brass band thing makes me so happy (making me smile even now!)

The lighting of the Christmas tree is another thumbs up from me as well!

Oh God I want it to be our visit NOW!!

I love the Christmas season although I really wish they would bring back the old Christmas parade with the real reindeer I don't like the OUAD Christmas parade

Reading all your hints and tips is really helping me feel all Chirstmassy:santa:. I can't wait to see DD's face when we tell her we're going. :cheer2:

Wow! Now I really can't wait to go.

Are all of the Christmas activities listed somewhere? I see the Halloween schedule so I assume the Christmas schedule will be posted next.

you'll definitely see the Christmas programme of events on the official Disney site once 7th November comes, as thats the first official date of Christmas season this year.

Thanks guys! I'm feeling a bit like too much on and not enough hours in the day! I'm not getting into the infectious mood like I normally do before a trip! Need to destress and get all Christmas-ified!

It's getting so close now :yay: I'm not allowing myself to think about it too much until Halloween's over then I'll be in full dis mode x
