Christmas Reservations?

So, I have been relentlessly checking every day for openings at the campground over Christmas. Needless to say, there are no openings for this year. Just wondering if anyone has suggestions/pointers on other ways to try and get reservations. Is there a best time of day to check? A likely time of year for cancellations? Otherwise, I will keep trying with my current strategy.

Cancellations will happen as people who have them booked realize they can't go. Check multiple times a day and we have had others get a reservation this way. Of course the cancellations will happen about November as people get close to the cancellation window.
