I always seem to have questions -- and I have been DVC since '94.

This will be our first time for Candellight Processional. I made dinner reservations for Teppen Edo (new name) the Japanese restaurant. I checked out the menu and now am really confused.

Do we get to choose whatever we want from the menu? Or will it be limited choices? This restaurant was in the 3rd Tier so tickets were $47.99 each and include the Processional. Could some one please enlighten me.

Thank you so much.

At this restaurant, I'm not sure. Generally, you get your choice of a salad, soup or appetizer, an entree and a dessert. Alcohol is not included but non-alcholic beverages are. If this is a teppanyaki restaurant, I would guess you wouldn't have any limitations. We have eaten at Le Cellier the last couple of years for the processional. I had the most expensive appetizer, the shrimp cocktail, the mushroom filet mignon and dessert and it was all included.

I agree here.

We have our first Candlelight Processional at this restaurant, too. We eat on Dec 15th. Is this restaurant set up as a Japanese Steak house. We ate here about 15 yrs ago.

The restaurant is being redone on the interior and renamed Teppan Ebo when it reopens. We have our CP ressie here for 12/28/07 - menu is not published yet but Teppanyakki is the name for that style of cooking table so since Teppan is remaining in the name of teh restaurant I think the decor is changing not the overall dining presentation or theme for the restaurant

teppan
(n) (1) iron plate; (2) (sl) sure thing; (P)

teppan'yaki
(n) teppan-yaki (Japanese cooking prepared on a hot steel plate in the center of the table)

eboshi
(n) black-lacquered headgear (made of silk, cloth or paper) originally worn by court nobles in ancient Japan, and afterwards spreading to the common people

FYI I gathered the translations from here http://linear.mv.com/cgi-bin/j-e/dict

Wow -- and thank you. Very interesting -- the interpretation of the Japanese meaning of Teppen Edo.

I thought I saw a new menu on this site, but was probably cruising somewhere else.

It would seem to be somewhat like doing the Disney Dining Plan for this reservation. We did that last year and really enjoyed that experience.

I am the planner/reservation maker for our group and always like to be prepared when the group starts asking questions.

Thanks again,
Pattyoh

We ate at Teppanyaki for our first CP 3 years ago because it was the only restaurant in the tier 3 level that could accomodate us (because I didn't book far enough in advance). We all hated it. Keep in mind everyone has different opinions and some love it, just all 4 adults and our then baby hated it. If I recall, we got a salad with some god awful ginger dressing (only choice of dressing) and then we were allowed to order anything off the menu except lobster. It was all very bland. The dessert choices were the pits, too. I would never go back. We have several Japanese steakhouses in our area and they are all far superior to the one at Disney. Also, back then, it desperately needed a re-furb so I am glad they did that.
The past two years I got educated and called the day the CP dining packages were released. The past two years we've eaten at Le Cellier and it just makes the evening so much more magical. The food & service are wonderful and it has a more holiday feel to it. Again just my opinions.
Good luck with whatever you decide!

ETA: Here were the dessert choices for Teppanyaki we had:
Ice Cream - chocolate, ginger, green tea, vanilla, orange sherbert, or fat free sugar free vanilla $3.49
Fresh Fruit - $4.99

GROSS GROSS GROSS.

Here were our dessert choices at Le Cellier:
Chocolate on Chocolate Whiskey Cake - chocolate cake brushed with Canadian whiskey, layered with chocolate mousse, finished with tarragon anglaise, topped with a chocolate curl $7.99

Cherry Shortcake - cherry-almond cake topped with housemade lavender ice cream and almond brittle $6.99

Creme Brulee Sampler - Maple Creme Brulee with caramelized maple sugar and cinnamon whipped cream; vanilla bean creme brulee with caramelized maple sugar and vanilla whipped cream $5.99

Duo of Sorbet - chef selection of refreshing housemade sorbet $5.99

Chocolate "Moose" - chocolate mousse rolled in toasted chocolate crumbs with maple leaf antlers $4.99

Campfire S'mores - chocolate graham crackers and roasted marshmallows with vanilla ice cream $4.9

NO COMPETITION!!!!
