We are going to Disney in December and I have read a little about Mickeys Christmas Party. Can anyone tell me if it is worth going as my son will be 6 at the time of the holiday? His mother and I will be a little older. Do you think it is worth the money?

We've been to MVMCP twice - in 1999 and 2004 - and I really enjoy it! :thumbsup2

The only thing is, many of the shows can be seen on "regular" days at the parks, so it really is up to you if you want to spend the extra money. ;)

There are often characters out and about that aren't usually, and there is only a limited amount of people allowed into the park, so that is always nice! :teeth:

I completely agree with tink, too :)
If you are going in early December then you might like to go so as to see the Xmas parade (which is only shown at MVMCP until about mid / late December). If you are there later in December, you can see the parade and shows during regular park admission.

We enjoyed MVMCP very much but the only extras we got over and above "normal" Christmas business-as-usual were the hot chocolate, cookies and a free photo. I'm glad I did it, but I'm not sure I would rush to do it again if I was at WDW at Xmas.

If I was travelling in early December I probably would, though :thumbsup2

Hi!
Im pondering with the idea of going for the first two weeks of December - no way do I want the queues of Christmas!!
Where is this held?Ive not heard of it...any web links please?

Thanks,
Lynn

MVMCP is held on certain dates in Magic Kingdom. As this will be our first year of doing this i can't tell you too much about it . If it is anything like MNSSHP it will be a good night.

Thanks everyone for the info. :thumbsup2 I have just discussed the options with my boss AKA wife. We both agree it would be a good idea for us to buy the advance tickets when we are out there. The only trouble I can predict is trying to keep my 6 year old awake until midnight. pirate:

We coped with that by letting ours (who was at the time 5) sleep in late that day and then had a nice relaxing time that day rather than rushing round the parks :) To be honest I got more tired than she did :rotfl2:
