I remmeber post last year about the parade taping and being able to be there for it. I didn't pay much attention since I was going in October but now I'll be ther the first weekend in December. How do you get to see the parade taping, assuming they do it that weekend again? We are staying on-site and plan to have a lot of fun while we are there and stopping to see the parades and shows this time.

It's usually the first weekend in December I believe. I know we went in 03 and saw them taping it in MK.....Regis and Kelly were there. I believe it was a Sunday. You probably have to be there very early to get picked to stand in the crowd behind them. Anyone else they don't really let you near them. They have CM directing you and telling you to keep moving.

Sometime in November, if I remember correctly, they posted a message on the passholder website about signing up to be a part of the taping. the link was to the production company. I filled out the request form, indicating which session I wanted - either Fri morn/Fri aft/Sat morn/Sat aft, then they e-mailed back with the information. Although it was pretty neat watching how they tape the parade, I probably wouldn't do it again. When I think back, we pretty much wasted the whole day - a lot of standing around waiting for the production to start. It also made MK very crowded, so as soon as the parade taping was finished, we head out.

It usually is the first weekend or so in December. If you want to be able to sit and watch the parade..be there early! BUT also be prepared to wait quite a few hours. The parade taping runs about 5 or 6 hours each day..so it is kinda boring. However you can watch while walking by and there are several areas where you can stop and watch certain segments of the parade coming by. Good luck!! And have a blast! this is my favorite time of the year to go!

Thats when it was when we were there, and I agree, it gets boring. We sat on the curb for about 30 minutes and watched them practice the Animal Kingdom section over and over before giving up and going to the rides, which were deserted. It was really neat to see them filming though!
