Christmas parade taping question

I am also curious about the original questions. We will be there on parade taping days and were wondering if we would be allowed to be in the crowd. I think it would be fun to watch the parade on TV Christmas day and look for us or at least know we were there. So, can we be part of the crowd if we want? What time would we need to get there?

1. Yes.
2. Yup.
3. Less than 50% chance you would be put in an area that could be seen by the cameras.
The crew stacks the foreground areas with arranged participants.
4. Yup. (Be prepared to be underwhelmed, however.)
5. Yes.
6. The show will already be in working/shooting mode by the time regular guests are admitted into MK.

First you do know that the dates are changed to around Monday, but its my understanding that the people in the front are usually invited and/or CMs with their families and get there a few hours before the park opens and are expected to be fully Xmased to the nines.

Yes you can watch its the luck of the draw if you actually see your self in the back. But I have heard that in certain years they don't get enough invited guests and they are begging "regular" guests to fill in the crowds. I think a poster here got drafted into watching a Jonas Brother concert and saw themselves on TV. But then again its a lot of reshoots where you are expected to have the same excitement the seventh take as you did the first.

You also its a multi hour ordeal and not a normal parade. They do multiple retakes as the floats are backed up and re-shot.

Oh and I guess I should also add this, you will most likely not see a parade.

Mostly just set pieces on main street that are then edited with other parade footage to make it look like a "parade like" show on Xmas morning.

Yea I have issues. :)
