Christmas Parade Taping & Park Hours

I see the park opens at 7:45am on Saturday, Dec 3 and parade taping begins at 8:00. Does anyone know if park rides will be open at 8:00 or 9:00 or is it just Main Street. We will be going for the rides not the taping.

If that is still an EMH day, the rides should be going at 8:00.

Disneyworld.com shows 9:00am as the official opening. No EMH.

Hmm, how about the one in Disneyland? I heard Ryan Seacrest was hosting the part in California at one of the Disneyland Resorts, and I absolutely love Ryan Seacrest! :]

Any announcements or rumors of what celebrities will be in the parade this year? Two years ago my DDs were thrilled to see Jump5 up close at the parade and I'm curious if they will be back this year.

As I understand it, there will be tapings on both Friday and Saturday. I'm not sure exactly what will be done each day, but I'm certain many of the parade segments will be on Saturday--my DD is involved and she is scheduled to film on Saturday.

I read on the main page that they were taping Fri 12/2, Sat 12/3 and Sun 12/4. We have breakfast at CRT Sun morning, anyone have any idea how the crowds will be? Anyone know if the rides will be busy during the tapings?

I would not worry about Sunday. It is a "make-up" day. In case they need an additional day due to weather or other delays in filming. In the past they usually get everything done on Friday and Saturday. In my 6 years working in MK I only recall one time that they actually had to use the Sunday for filming (not to say they won't, but I would not change anything because of it).
