christmas parade live ?

i am planning to go to disney in christmas, and i really want to participate in the live parade which airs on ABC
do u know is that live? and when is it?
do we need special ticket?
will i be able to see Regis?

sorry but no the show is not live. We went last december around 3-7 and we were w/ raven. we saw regis but if you are there on xmas day i am not so sure you will see him

and what happen on christmas day? will there be the same parade as on tv?

The Christmas Parade is usually taped sometime the first 2 weeks of December. The answer you will receive to your question is that it "WAS" live when we taped it... In order to claim somthing as live you only need like 15 minutes of live feed so they do that through holiday wishes and some overhead shots, but the parade itself is not live. They will do the CHristmas parade in the park for the day guests, but it will be at 2pm (usually it runs at 2, instead of 3 because it is a long parade). Other than that there is not a lot going on in the park. This past christmas they had Santa and Mrs Calus in the Tour Guide Gardens next to City Hall, the parks are all decorated for the holidays so you will see the Christmas tree and the lights and you will see the parade just not the one that is broadcast at 10am on ABC.

We were there in 1998 and they taped it when we were there during the week of the 11th. I was disappointed to learn that it isn't really live on Christmas Day.

We were there last yesr on Christmas Day. I'm not sure how they could do the parade with the number of people who were in the park that day. The parking lots were closed early.

We were there in 1999 for Christmas. We were basically body to body watching the parade. I don't think I'll do that again. It was pretty bad.
