Christmas Parade Line-up is here!

I've done extra work in the past, and the general rule is always no video, no pictures, no autographs. Sorry. :(

But HAVE FUN! :)

I think disneymama73 is right. It means NO videos to be taken, NO photos to be taken, and NO autographs to be asked for. I certainly understand the no autographs part...as long as it takes to film that parade, can you imagine if all the extra's were asking for autographs as well???

Absolutely understandable!! I can imagine that Disney wouldn't want a video of their 'Christmas' parade being out there 3 weeks before the big day!!! Basically I was just curious. Now, will I have the TV set to record the parade on Christmas Day???? You bet your bippy I will!!! Just in case I don't end up on the cutting room floor. That seems to be my lot in life.

They don't care if you take a photo of the parade, or the celeb from afar, they just don't want you stopping the celebs and asking for a photo with them or an autograph. The celebs are there to do a job, not to schmooze, you know? If they offer to, that's cool, but as an extra, you should not ask. Also, the extras may be asked not to even take photos of anything, since depending on the setting they are trying to create while filming/showing the extras, it may not convey the "look" they are going for. Meaning, if you are watching someone perform a song, they want you to look like you are really watching and enjoying it, smiling, showing the taping camera your eyes, etc, not hiding your face behind your camera and taking pictures.

To be honest, the celebs will undoubtedly offer to take a photo with folks they are interacting with during downtime or whatever, but don't count on it, and never ever ask.

I don't want to give the misconception that I have been an extra in the Christmas parade before. I have done a few movies, commercials and TV. The rules were as I stated before. I would assume since it will be ABC filming the parade, the same rules will apply. When I did Home Alone, we were not allowed to speak to the stars (John Candy was in my scene).

Just wanted to clarify that. :goodvibes

By the explanation above about photography, I'd rather just not be an "extra" and be a normal guest and stand off to the side and be able to shoot as desired.
