Christmas next year will be different because _____

because I will wrap each present as it comes into the house, no more staying up till 2 am.

I will have had a full time, well paying job for a year, and will be able to afford Christmas. My DH works in construction in Detroit (just a hotbed of empolyment opportunities, let me tell you) and has been working 20-30 hours a week on the good weeks. I was in school full time and worked part time until I graduated last week.

I'm hoping the debt will be paid off, and we'll have a less stressful holiday.:thumbsup2

I will buy stocking stuffers throughout the year....
Try baking earlier, freeze it for holidays...this year was too rushed.
I will also "let go" a bit and have DH help me with wrapping etc.
That said it was still amazing...

--Mom might not be here or might be significantly sicker. I'm glad we got a good Christmas this year.

--I'm going to be lots clearer on what I mean when I say I don't want "stuff" for Christmas.

--I'm going to beg my aunt to make more raspberry bars.

--Hopefully DH won't have a cold!

Otherwise, this year has been pretty close to my ideal Christmas. :)

Christmas will be different next year because.....

My mother and I will not be exchanging gifts. We are going to the Pacific Northwest Ballet Nutcracker instead.

I mentioned that idea to her a couple weeks ago, for next year, and she loved it! However, she did say that the next year after that she wants to see (I think) Manheim Steamroller.

it will be my first Christmas at college and I hopefully will be able to afford to fly home, even if it means my flight home and back to school is my gift.

I will be more direct in informing my mother of exactly how deeply I *hate* chico's clothing.

Hopefully the 5 yr streak of horrific looking chico's clothing will come to an end. (Because apparently returning items, refusing to shop there with her, making remarks about the hideous nature of clothing while walking past the store...... were not big enough hints) :rotfl:

Yeah-but don't you LOVE what size you are in that store?;):rotfl2:

I will most likely be divorced and living with my girls in a different house than this one that we built 5 years ago. :sad1:

This is what I was going to type (other than the house being built)

I am so sorry that somebody else is going through the same thing.

My Mom and I will be spending a wonderful, happy Christmas in NYC :santa:

For now it's just a dream......but, who knows, right? :goodvibes

ETA: of a couple of other people genuienly want to be with us, they'll be more than welcome to join us

Christmas next year will be different because after 15 years of marriage I have finally decided that my DH can't buy anything right for me. I will buy my own gifts and wrap them to me from him. :cool1: That way I will get what I want....

Me too! I'm down for this one.....this year I got a DVD player (nice, right?)....except we already have one. He wanted a new one---not me. I don't even watch DVDs...and the bench I wanted and sent him direct links to---well, that just didn't find its way under the tree. Same price.....

I will never again do a cookie exchange! I ended up with 96 cookies, and I only liked six of them. I'm throwing away cookies left and right because no one else will eat them either. What a waste!

Dh will be back from Iraq and he will be doing EVERYTHING (he just doesn't know that yet ;) )

Next year, I hope to be able to see both my parents for Christmas. My mom, her boyfriend, my brother and his family were able to come over for dinner and I am truly thankful for that. But I won't be able to see my dad until New Year's Day. His wife is battling lymphoma right now and just had a chemo treatment 2 days ago. This is the first time in 37 years that I haven't spent part of Christmas day with my dad.

This was pretty close to my ideal Christmas. However....

I will be going back to teaching next year, so I'll probably stress less about money. Hopefully!

And...I wanna do colored lights on the tree and outside the house next year. I've done white for several years and I'm ready for a change.

Next year will be different since we will be spending it with my family.

Hopefully it will also be different since we are trying to have a baby and either having a little one or being pregnant by then would be the greatest gift ever.
