December27-30 Wilderness Lodge then moving December 30-January 1 Atrium Club at CR. Couldn't find either one for the entire stay.
Celebrating retirement and sad about that, but excited about Disney!!

I'll be celebrating too, graduating my nursing program with an RN, so in a way we're both out of school!

We'll be at Caribbean Beach 12/17-21; so we'll be there somewhere!

ITA! I have 6 Christmas/New Year's under my belt and this is exactly what we do. We get to the parks when they open and then leave mid-day when it gets crowded. We also park-hop.

Let me add my 2 cents, we have 8 Christmas/New Years under the belt and you are right on the money!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll be there with my gang - DH, DS, 2DD's from 12/23-12/29. Split stay with YC and Gaylord Palms.

We went to the Magic Kingdom on Christmas Day last year. It was so crowded we could barely move. Left after 1/2 hour. It took that long to find the exit

Let me add my 2 cents, we have 8 Christmas/New Years under the belt and you are right on the money!!!!!!!!!!!

We (me, DW, DD7 and DD3) were at the Dolphin for XMAS 2004 and New Years 2005 and I wish we had used your strategy.

We had an amazing time but the crowds EVERYWHERE were ridicuous and borderline unbearable.

Welcoming in the New Year on the Boardwalk was so much fun though with the DJ and everyone dancing.

My best crowd story is this: Epcot on New Years Eve day, 12/31/04, we get there at 10 in the morning and the fast pass return time for Test track was already 13 hours later, 1 am to 1:45 am, New Years Day!!! Epcot was open till 2 am for New Years. I think I still have the fast passes as we couldn't quite make it back for the ride.

We definitely enjoy our long leisurely Disney holidays and are very grateful for them. (although both my dd's may actually kill dh with his loud endless snoring by the end of the month) I've decided I'm going to hang lime green laminated mickey heads off our packs we lug around the parks (yes, i've succumbed to the insanity so if you see four people that match our description in no hurry whatsoever that'll probably be us...come say hi!!!!

Will do! When I'm staying at a value or a mod I also tape lime green Mickey heads in my window of my hotel room, so I will have those up as well.

Add me to the list! This will be our 2nd Christmas in Disney(1st was 2002), and this time we will be there 12/22 - 12/29 at AS Music Family Suites!! I am so excited, I am not sure if I will make it!!

We (me, DW, DD(9) and DD(5)) were there for New Years 2 years ago and had a great time!!! I don't have any pictures of the crowds but just be ready for more than you can imagine. My best story is of New Years Eve day at Epcot. We got there in the morning and the Test Track fast pass return time was already 15 hours later. At about 10am, you were to return at 1:00am, NEW YEARS DAY!!! Epcot was open until 2 AM on New Years Eve but we didn't make it. Instead we apent New Years Eve on the Boardwalk which was an amazing time.

I am so excited! Today in the mail came our vouchers, final info & luggage tags----it was really hard not to explode in front of the kids. I tried to tell DH, but there was always a child around! Thank goodness for the DIS board!

We will be there the 26-30!! Our 3 year anniversary is on the 28th so we are looking for special things to do! Any ideas??
