Christmas-New Years..Who's Going?

Those of you with reservations that run from the end of december into January... call and see if you can break your reservation into 2 separate ones. A new pricing season begins on Jan 1,... it becomes value season... so lets say you are staying at Pop from 12/26 - 1/5 you should see if they can split your ressie into 12/26-1/1 then 1/1-1/5 You will save a ton of money because your price for your stay is based upon the price of the first night you check in through the end of your stay. BE VERY CAREFUL though to make sure the CM does not lose your original ressie while they attempting to change it and you get stuck with no room at all!

I just booked my nights for 12/30-1/1 and then 1/1-1/8 and rooms are still available.

Just thought I would see if I could help save someone some money!

Good luck!
Kathy

I will be there from December 16-25th along with my Mom & Dad. We are staying at Disney's Contemporary Resort, on the 12th Floor Atrium Club.

Only 86 more days to go for us. We'll be at OKW from 12/21 to 1/3. We've been to WDW for 2 NYE's but this will be our first Christmas. :santa:

How were the 2 NYE's ? Did you have fun ? I'm guessing yes since you came back LOL.. was it over crowded ? Sorry for all the questions !

This will be my 4th trip at this time of year. Yes, it is extremely crowded! :crowded: But, if you go with the right attitude and a plan, you can beat the crowds. The best advice I can offer having been 3 times over the holidays is to get to the parks as soon as they open and make dining reservations far in advance.

ITA! I have 6 Christmas/New Year's under my belt and this is exactly what we do. We get to the parks when they open and then leave mid-day when it gets crowded. We also park-hop.

I just wanted to remind everyone who will be at WDW for NYE to made your ADR as soon as possible!!! Even if you don't think you'll want a sit down dinner. The day can be very long and very crowded and sometimes cold and rainy. The oasis of a table service meal in the mid-evening on NYE is something that cannot be missed!

Call and make your dinner reservation for NYE today. It may even be too late to get one in the park of your choice and you may have to eat at Counter Service or at one of the resorts.

We'll be at POP on 12/31, and AKL 1/1 thru 7. No parks for us on the 31st though; we know better! ;)

Myself, DH, DD's 7 and 16 will be at CSR Dec 11-Jan 2 and then the Dolphin Jan 2-11. Can hardly wait!

We definitely enjoy our long leisurely Disney holidays and are very grateful for them. (although both my dd's may actually kill dh with his loud endless snoring by the end of the month) I've decided I'm going to hang lime green laminated mickey heads off our packs we lug around the parks (yes, i've succumbed to the insanity :rotfl: so if you see four people that match our description in no hurry whatsoever that'll probably be us...come say hi!!!!

This will be our 1st Christmas in WDW! :goodvibes We'll be doing a split-stay between the GF & BWV Dec. 14th-28th! Next time we'll have to try NYE, too. I hope everyone has a magical holiday vacation in WDW! :wizard:
