Christmas /New Years 2009 - anyone Wait Listed??

I was talking to DH tonight about our Easter 2010 trip since I have to call tomorrow. And he said why don't we go at Chrstmas/New Years - arrive 12/27 - too! So we worked it out that we could actually go at Christmas 09 at SSR in a studio for 6 nights and then at Easter 2019 4 nights at SSR in a studio and 4 nights at BCV ina 1BR. So my question is what is the likelyhood that I will get a studio at New Years?? Will I have to wait list? I was kinda surprised that he even mentioned it. But we have annual passes that we got this last Easter trip so it would almost be free - get 3 trips out of the passes! We will have to borrow ahead some points but I think it will work. Any thoughts? Our home resort is SSR and BCV.

Last time I checked, there were scattered availabilty for New Years Eve. But that was a few weeks ago.

I called today I got ssr for 4 nights in a studio. Then I booked 3 nights at ssr in a studio but had to waitlist 12/30. I am also waitlisted for 12/31 foe a 1 bedroom at bcv. I got my 1/1 at bcv. So my 2 nights inbetween is up in the air

As a fall back, you can book a room at Swan or the Dolphin. That is what we have done in the past.

I could not get BCV 2BR Dec 30-Jan 3 (check out). Could only get the last night, Jan 2nd. I am on waitlist for other 3 for now. I have no real hope. I HAD both Jan 1 and 2, but the CM admitted she made a mistake switching screens, and I lost Jan 1, her fault. I HATE that! <<<Edited: I called again the next day and got Jan 1, so now I will likely do 2 nights BLT and 2 nights BCV.>>>

In the meantime I booked on cash at BLT 1BR for the 4 nights (Bay view). I will WL Jan 1 and 2 on May 30 (7 month window). I do not want to WL the 4 nights because I think Dec 30-31 are so unlikely they WL all 4 will kill my shot of at least getting 2 out of 4 nights on cash.

I am living with the possibility that all 4 nights may remain cash nights (I will drop the one night at BCV when we WL at BLT, we hate switching resorts with the kids).

My SSR for 12/30 came thru!! . Now just waiting for BCV
