Christmas morning gifts

Do you leave the toys in the box and put them together after your kid(s) open them, or do you put the toys together the night before or sooner. Example would be: step 2 work benches, desks, car tables, etc....

Mine is a bit older now, but we always put them together the night before and left them unwrapped under the tree. Besides, that's part of the fun, waiting until they go to bed and try to put that stuff together without them hearing. Well, heck, we still do it for the "big" gifts and the stockings and they are 15 and 16.

Yes, santa's unwrapped. Mom & Dad's wrapped.

Larger items like bikes or whatever get put together some time before. Those and something like a cute stuffed animal will be unwrapped.

"Santa" gifts are put together and left unwrapped under the tree for the kids to find Xmas morning.

All of Santa's gifts are out and ready to play with! Anything from mom and dad is wrapped and in the original box.

I had to choose other.

At our house Santa leaves each child one ("large" - expensive) gift and that those gifts are never wrapped. They're placed in front of the fire place underneath the stockings.

All the rest of the gifts are from us and they are wrapped (and unassembled) under the tree.

When they were younger (and there was less of them), we'd do everything the night before, so we could just enjoy our coffee, instead of wrestling with packaging, putting in batteries, etc. Now everything is in boxes, but the older kids are big enough to wrestle with their own packaging!

Gifts from Mom and Dad are in the boxes and wrapped. Each child gets a different wrapping paper. Santa gifts are also in the boxes and wrapped but in a different paper that is all the same for the 3 of them. There is also a note to each child on the Santa gift from the big guy.

And only one gift from Santa, the rest are from Mom and Dad.

Looks to be a tie.
I think we are going to put the 'bigger' gifts together the night before and take the smaller gifts out of the box, take off the billion and one 'hold it on straps' and re-box it - so ds can just pull out the toys and play w/them.

everything is wrapped and under the tree- Santa leaves ALL the gifts except for one which is from mom and wrapped in different paper- and the big expensive gifts and most wanted gifts are always from Santa. We like to just hang out on Christmas day at home so that is when everything gets opened and put together.
