I just found this on my kitchen table. For my DD's birthday, I got her a Firefly cellphone. Within a month, she lost it. She has been heartbroken ever since. Here's what it says:

A Firefly cellphone. Please even if I been bad please just put in a Firefly cellphone. Please I'm sorry if I been bad.

It really gave me the giggles. :rotfl2: But I feel bad for her, too, because there's no way I'm buying another one. :sad2:

Aww, just one more? Surely she's learned her lesson? (hmm...though now that I think of it, that is awfully young to have a phone).

My son just turned 4 on November 20th. He's asking Santa for a Screen Machine and bacon. He asked for, and got, bacon last year, too. :confused3 :teeth:

Does she get an allowance? I'd make her buy a replacement with her own money.

After all, that's what my mother did when she bought me a pager for graduation and it somehow managed to go swimming in the toilet.

Ok..I should probably go lie down. I feel like an old fogey because I remember when pagers (not cell phones) were the really 'cool' thing for teenagers to cart around. :faint: :rotfl2:

I know. I'm such a pushover. If I don't end up getting her one, my mother or grandmother will. The most ridiculous thing is....she lost it IN THE HOUSE! And we have searched everywhere! :confused3

Why can't my kids ask for bacon? :sad2:

LOL yeah. I know I don't fix it that often, but geeze. You'd think he'd ask me for it before he asks Santa. I don't ever recall him asking me to make bacon.

Go with that! Maybe it'll keep him from asking for a cellphone for another ten years. :lmao:

I understand about losing stuff in the house. My mom does that ALL THE TIME. Once, she bought me an ET the Extra Terrestrial soap (I must've been about 10 or so) for my birthday. She hid it so well, she didn't find it till 16 years later!

You don't have to. Santa will! :teeth:

Every year I tell the kids about Little Women and how they were SO hapy to get a piece of fruit. They're like, "WhatEVER! I want an IPOD!"

Yep. Sounds like my kids for sure. They still think they're getting that freaking $300 stuffed pony. :lmao:

I've been thinking about this and when she doesn't get one, you could tell her Santa ran out because he gave them all to boys/girls who had been REALLY REALLY good this year. :)

Aww, but she is a really good girl. She's a straight A student, too.

Thank you thank you I'll be here all week. Try the roast ox and don't forget to tip your waitress!

My kids were on that bandwagon for awhile, too!! They asked for ONE, and said they'd share...

I've gotten a case of the giggles over the bacon thing! :goodvibes

She should get the phone! Oh, pleeeease give her the phone! She deserves the PHONE!

Kids who are good and get straight As...well, I just get this sinking feeling in my tummy that they'll be disappointed by Santa, on whom their little hopes ride.

It is so easy to make them happy when they're little. Buy her the phone. That'll be a joy nobody can take back later.

Please, mom, please! Buy her the phone! :teeth:

Oh ya know I'm gonna cave. I'm such a softie. Especially after seeing this note, "I'm sorry if I been bad." Awwww!!!!
