(Christmas) Lights, Decorations, Action…..A Post-Christmas PTR (update 12/22-page 42)

So, Marv, how is that pain coming? Still to sore to type an update? Or insert a picture? Or do SOMETHING with this PTR?

Marv, now I can't imagine that Rosie and I were enough to chase you off. Where are you? We miss you!

EXcuuuuse me !!! The war is on !!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl2:Get hime Kathy !!!:rotfl2:
:darth: You WILL feel the power of the dark side!

:cloud9: Ah, missed by one of my favorite DISers! Last time Rosie fussed at me for disappearing and not telling everyone I was going to be away for a few days. I told Rosie about a week ago that this weekend was coming. I guess "they" are right when "they" say the memory is the first thing to go...... :lmao:
No he is resting up for the attack !!!!!!!:lmao::lmao:
Unfortunately rest was definitely nowhere in my weekend plans!
I was beginning to wonder if you had him tied up to a pole somewhere! ;)
No posting those pictures Rosie..... ;)

Well it was a busy weekend! We left Thursday to spend the weekend with DS21. It was Parent's Weekend at his military college, and being a senior, the big event is the presentation of their rings on Friday. We didn't get back from the weekend until yesterday evening. I had a few minutes to scan all the updates on everyone's threads, but didn't have the time to post any comments, especially since some of those threads had grown tremendously. I don't want to tell too much about the weekend since I plan to upload the photos to photobucket and post an update then. Unfortunately there was no access available to the internet, and today I had a class scheduled all day.

Now I just need to get back into the swing of things. Only 3 more days until the Rosie thread takeover! :woohoo:

Hello! Hello! Is any one home????

Where the heck are you Marv? I see you post on Rosie's PTR and on Glen's TR but nobody else's, including your own.

Still recovering from that canoe ride?

:rotfl: Oh yes, Kathy, I have long ago recovered from the canoe trip! Unfortunately life has gotten in the way somewhat. The good news is that both Cross Country AND soccer games both come to an end this week. On top of that, it is the end of the first 9 weeks grading for the local schools, so DW has needed the computer at home to post grades and such so she can stay gainfully employed. :yay:

Believe it or not, I have had a few minutes to keep up with most TRs (including yours), but not enough time to comment for the most part. After starting my takeover of Rosie's thread with her departure, I felt an obligation to use my little time there first to try and keep things going (similar to my dedication to yours while you were away):) so she doesn't feel forgotten and unloved when she returns! :rolleyes1 Apparently not as many people on here love her and miss her as much as I do (you are a distant second though). ;) After that, Glenn gets time because his update included a very important contest that I created, but have fallen woefully behind competing in...... :sad2:

Yeah, where is everyone on Rosie's thread? That first day started out well and it has fallen apart. She'll think we don't love her anymore. They must be having a great time though because she hasn't called me since that first night.

I'm glad that your wife is using the computer for important stuff! And I gave up on Glen's "game" because I never get there quick enough to give an answer (he and that's nice post at some weird hours).

Hi Marv, I was away during the weekend, but will add to Rosie's thread immediately! :thumbsup2

Aw shucks. I know what you mean though...my DISing time has been really squeezed the last couple of weeks.

Okay, it is way past time for a PTR update, as I have been so eloquently reminded by so many (well, Kathy does it so often maybe it just SEEMS like so many....could that be why Mark is so Grumpy?).:rolleyes1 This has been a busy past few weeks, so it has taken some time to get some pictures uploaded so I can continue on. At the same time, it has been enjoyable because it has mostly been due to family activities!

Current plans are to work on Tuesday the 28th, and then drive about half way to Orlando that evening so we can get there earlier on Wednesday when our reservation at Kidani begins. I haven't decided yet if we will go I-85 or I-95, but I am leaning towards taking I-95 this trip. The drive is almost the same, time and distance-wise, but the options for getting a room at the halfway point appear to be better.

We can't wait to arrive at Kidani, our DVC home. :woohoo:

The last time we were there around New Years, we stayed in Animal Kingdom Lodge since Kidani wasn't open yet. I had wanted to stay there again in the Value Studios, but those weren't available for our whole stay, and we really hate doing a split stay,:headache: especially if we are only there a few days like this trip. Here is one of the views we had from our room at AKL.

After getting checked in and unpacked, we are heading over to Epcot with our main goal being to experience the Candlelight Processional.:thumbsup2 Just to speed things up, we may drive instead of catching a Disney Bus. Unfortunately we can no longer arrive like this :sad2:

Since we won't arrive at Epcot before probably mid-afternoon, I'm not expecting much chance of collecting FPs for Soarin', Mission Space or Test Track, but hopefully we can still get one or two of those. We won't have a whole lot of time to spare since we have an early dinner reservation at Tutto Italia. This will be our first time eating there. :yay: If we have a little bit of time before dinner, we might spend some of it

For the most part I plan to just take in all the holiday sights and decorations, and get plenty of pictures, :thumbsup2 which I have found are woefully lacking from our last Post-Christmas/New Years trip. :sad2: I expect we will spend most of the time in WS since our main goal is dinner, and the CP. :cheer2: Hopefully we will get to see some of the Santa's in the different countries this trip too. :santa:

We will probably head back to the room early the first night to recover from the trip, and rest up for our busy first full day at the Magic Kingdom! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

MRS. GRUMPY is here to reply, Sir. Grumpy is Grumpy because of our two darling boys I'll have you know. ;)

Every time you post a new picture of the AKL, I fall in love and want so badly to stay there. One of these days. :)

I think your plans are great for the first day...take in the sights, see the Santas, have a nice dinner, etc.

You were quick! :thumbsup2 After reminding me I was way past due an update so many times, I didn't want to announce it and see how long it took you to find your way over and read! Pretty impressive for an older woman!!! :goodvibes

That's one thing I really, really want to see someday!-CP looks so beautifully done, and the real deal! Love that!!
