Hey guys!

I was just wondering, what's the weather and temperature like at Christmas in WDW? We're considering either an August trip or a Christmas trip :)

Unpredictable. This year it was not so cold. Some years it has been downright cold. At least it is here in North Florida. Winter in general is unpredictable in Florida. If you don't like the weather, just wait a few days it is bound to change. Tuesday we had a high of 46, today it is already 63.

Hey guys!

We were just there from Dec. 17-Jan. 8. The weather was beautiful almost every day. Usually in the 70's. There were maybe a handful of colder days during the 3 weeks. It was gorgeous!

It could be anywhere from near-freezing to 80's and beautiful. Most likely, though, between high 50's and low 80's. This past week a blizzard would not have surprised me!

August? Hot as usual. I like it, though.

Nicest is late September to mid-November or March to mid-June.

December will be unpredictable. August will most certainly be HOT.

We usually go the week leading up the Christmas, and the temps are all over every time we go. Usually warm and very pleasant (never HOT), one or two days, jacket required. This year we are probably going to go the last week in August..I am hoping the trade off for the extremely hot weather will be worth it. We don't have to take the kids out of school, the bounceback rate is terrific, I am thinking the crowds may be a little lighter, and no time constraints. That in exchange for no Christmas decorations (BTDT) and HOT, HOT, HOT temps. I am up for it!

Rich, it was really nice at Christmas time this past year. Just prior to Christmas, it was pretty chilly. This past week, we've had temperatures below freezing, but today it will be in the mid-70s.

You just never know what it will be like at this time of year. I can guarantee that it will be pretty hot in August.

If you have any specific questions about the area or about your trip, please let me know. If you do make it over, I'd love to buy you a beverage somewhere. Just don't ask me to discuss politics! :goodvibes

I agree with all the above post. This past xmas 08 the weather was perfect. Pool weather every day. I would take Dec. weather over Aug. weather.

Who knows. (Certainly not the weather people - even a day or two before.) Winter in WDW can range from cold (near freezing) to warm (near or a little over 80 - I don't call that hot, especially with the lower humidity of winter - 85 in summer would feel much hotter than 85 in winter).

August will 100% no doubt be hot and humid.

December will be a crap shoot but in general much nicer.

this year it was in the 60s.

I don't know if you were talking the week before Christmas, but Christmas Eve and Day were in the low 80s this past year. That temperature is higher than usual. It was wonderful when I visited my parents!!! The only thing besides weather to consider is crowds. If you go in early December, crowds are low in December, if you go over Christmas/New Years, crowds can be unbearable.

It would be an honour :)

Don't worry, politics will never come up :p

We were there for xmas and new year 08.

Most days hit 75 - 80 by around 2.00pm, but we had a cold day at 50F when we went to Ocala and Silver Springs......only had T shirts, shorts and a thin sweatshirt....Brrrrrrrrrr!!!!
