 With our ADR's (Advance Dining Reservations) fast approaching i need to start thinking about which restaurant would be festive for Christmas dinner:santa:. It would need to be somewhere out of the parks. No Theme park that day. For 3 adults.

Any and all suggestions welcomed.:flower:This will be our 1st time in Disney on Christmas Day:yay:

Thank you

You are smart to avoid the parks on that day. The resorts are well decorated for the holidays. Xmas eve Santa visits each of the resorts.
Suggestions:
* WC might be fun as it opens onto the lobby with all it's holiday evergreen.
* GF, all the restaurants will be decorated and then you could go early or stay after and enjoy the lobby. They play xmas music and you can visit the gingerbread house. Enjoy gingerbread cookies or roasted chestnuts.
* Trails End - Enjoy a great buffet and then take a hayride thru the campground. The campers go all out decorating their sites, it is incredible.
* We enjoy a nice quiet upscale dinner at Yachtsman's St. The YC usually has a great xmas train display.

Thank You so much for all your great suggestions.:disrocks: I had read about the campgrounds and how they are all decorated. That sounds like fun! I think that would be very festive. Do you know if we have to reserve a space on the hayride?

I also like the Yachtsman"s for a very special evening. Do you happen to know if they up charge for the Holidays. I know Cali grill has a crazy NYE package that is way over the top. Or do you still order off the regular menu? Albeit a a little more pricey:eek:

Thank you again:thumbsup2:goodvibes

I now you are looking for the exact day of Christmas so maybe you don't mind all the traveling for that day but we were there two years
ago day after Christmas for a few days prior to a cruise and it is PACKED. I am going again this year, day after Christmas for the week
and I am trying to keep our dinners "close to home". We are at SSR and my "kids" are 22 and 18 so most are at DTD and Epcot.
I don't want to spend hours on the busses each night just for dinners. I don't know where you are staying, but if I had to choose Christmas
dinner, I would pick Citricos, I love it there or Yachtsman (love it there too LOL).
I really don't like Cali Grill and I keep trying to like it but I decided I'm not booking there any longer.

Thank you for the suggestions:wave2:.

We have been during the crazy crowds between Christmas and New Years last year. Yes it was packed but i was so surprised how manageable everything was. It was a blast!!:thumbsup2

This year we decided to get there a little early~~ arrival Christmas Eve. We have never seen the campgrounds decorated for Christmas and we have never been to the Yachtsman or Citrico's.. :-) So those are high on our list.

We drive down from CT so Sunday, Christmas will be a quiet day for us.

We'll be staying at the French Quarter so Disney Springs is another choice. We just wanted somewhere decorated and festive.:goodvibes

:thanks:

We had Thanksgiving Dinner at Boma and it was great! I'm sure it is wonderful for Christmas as well. They have a beautifully decorated lobby with tree and you can see the animals on the savannahs as well either before or after the meal. If you pick there get a 4 or 5 ADR before it gets crowded.

If you're going for festive I would pick Whispering Canyon. The Wilderness Lodge is beautifully decorated for the holiday. After dinner you can take a boat (or drive) over to Fort Wilderness to look at the campsites! We actually camped at the Fort this past Christmas and I have to say our motorhome ad site looked very neglected, most campers have their sites all decked out!

If you want to try something different than the hay ride, you can pay ~$65 to rent a golf cart, then you can drive all over the Fort for as long as you want! You'll want to reserve it like NOW, though. You don't pay until you pick it up, and you can cancel up to 24 hrs before (I think.. -- either that or 5 days, I can't remember).

This is a great idea! Thank You:thumbsup2 Who would i call for the rental of the golf cart:scratchin

Edit~~ found number for rental and we are all set for Christmas Day YAY!!!! should be an adventure. :thanks:
