Anybody like me and find that Christmas can't come soon enough?

I think it is because I have been super organized and early this year.
- Christmas decor was up and ready by Sat after Thanksgiving
- All presents except 2 are purchased (and already know what those will be).
- Everything is wrapped except the remaining 2 gifts
- Stocking stuffers are bought - even something for our new puppy.
- Christmas cards are ready to go - Kids visited Santa for the picture.

Only things left are:
- waiting on photobooks to arrive to send out to siblings (mom passed away in Feb and I am sending out a photo album she made of our family history as gifts. I scanned in the pages & printed hardcover books). Should arrive later this week.
- Baking! Made out my grocery list of ingredients this morning. 3 kinds of bon bons, fudge & cookies. Don't want to bake until this weekend then it will be all weekend, lol
- Popcorn - order popcorn tin from local place so it is fresh on christmas eve for hubby.

And... that's it until Mass on Christmas eve.

We are alone for the holidays (in-laws traveling for niece's first Christmas) so no need to clean house or entertain. Going out for dinner.
I am not counting school parties (I bought the stuff for those already) or the company Christmas party (we don't attend). Oh, I guess I need to get gift cards for teachers, etc when I go to WalMart Friday to buy baking supplies.

Anybody else twiddling their thumbs until Christmas gets here?

I still need to do things, but I jist want to enjoy this time. I just need to bake and make goodies. I am not in any way stressed just enjoying it.

I'm in no rush whatsoever for it to get here.... I LOVE Christmas as much as I love Disney..... but what I love about Christmas is that whole time leading up to it-the traditions, the decorations, the movies, the parties, the overall happy feeling :santa:

I go through almost a depression after the holidays because I enjoy the Christmas season so much with all the hustle and bustle/excitement... then once it's over, there's nothing fun here in New England (unless that Pat's get into the Superbowl :rotfl: ) until Easter time!!! LOL! :rotfl: It's too darned cold to go outside and we all end up with cabin fever.......

So, nope.... I want the next 17 days to go by S-L-O-W-L-Y!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I am really mellow this year for some reason...things are getting done but I am not stressing. After the Christmas dance recital saturday and the relatives go home sunday, all I have to do is wrap, pick up a few more presents and bake. I am watching Christmas movies and just enjoying things this year. It probably helped that DD8 list only included stuff from American Girl, and DD25 just wants new tires, so shopping has been easy this year :)

Oh, and I have to finish making my MiL and FiLs presents, but that is tomorrow.

As kldmom stated, i'm in no rush either! :goodvibes

I'm trying to take it all in...the sights, the sounds, the smells, everything!

You seem to enjoy it more when you take the time to slow down and thoroughly embrace it...

I, too, also had EVERYTHING up the Saturday after Thanksgiving, since I love decorating for Christmas. I only have a few more things to get, plus stocking stuffer items, other than that, i'm all set and ready! :goodvibes

I just need to make a list of what I have to do yet. I think I have all the time in the world then December 23 comes and I realize I still have shopping to do. This happens every year, I need to be more organized and not so laid back. I have done a lot of internet shopping this year but I do like to get out there in that crazy mess for at least one day, it puts me in the mood. I have my in-laws to buy for and just stocking stuffers and I am finished. I have no idea what to get the in-laws, they have everything, and I just hate to always buy them gift cards.

I have everything done but I don't want Christmas to come before I can enjoy all the work.

We have parties to attend and events to go to before Christmas can come.
