So my partner and I have been together for about 8 or 9 years now and we're taking our first vacation together to come to Disney for Christmas. We're leaving in 13 days.

Going to Disney this year was more of a Christmas present to me last year so of course I've been saving up ALL year long. So has he! We've both decided not to do a whole lot this year for Christmas. We're bringing a few decorations with us to decorate our room with while we're there. We have reservations on Christmas Day to go to Le Cellier in Epcot and then to the Candlelight Processional afterwards. That's going to be nice and I can't wait but that's not what I'm kind of struggling with.

We recently just bought the new X-Box Kinect and said it was going to be our Christmas present to each other. That was great but now that I'm thinking about it, Christmas morning just isn't going to be the same waking up and not having anything under a tree to open.

I'd like to be able to find something that would stand out, something that's not too expensive, and yet something that says I love you and is right from the heart.

So my question to all of you... Is there anywhere in Disneyworld that I could look to find a perfect inexpensive gift that he might enjoy opening on Christmas morning? When I say inexpensive I mean anything under say...200.00. :) Any and all ideas or thoughts are greatly appreciated!!!

Please, help me to get through my first Christmas away from home and make it special by finding great gifts to exchange alone in the morning! :o)

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

The peanut gallery (Koolaidmoms) is asking me questions.

What does he like?
What about one of the experiences at Disney?
Does he like Tschokes? If so maybe a small crystal figurine for a memory of the trip?
Does he collect anything?
Does he have a Disney memory from childhood that he's shared with you that you could incorporate into the gift?

Good Luck:goodvibes

He's into computers and sci-fi stuff. I've never been to Disney so have no idea what I should look for, where I should go, what kinds of ideas others might have that could help me to think of something.

Hmmmm, Sci-Fi...

You could always get something from Tatooine Traders. Star Wars is about as Sci-Fi as it gets.

Computer Games...

Do you have a Wii? If so I can highly recommend Epic Mickey. :)

Hmmmmm, computers....

One of our recent purchases (Not at Disney), was a VirginMobile WiFi device, so that we can travel with it....great for our photopass pic downloads at the resorts, without using Disney's internet service...

Or, as recommended above, something from Tatooine Traders....

Or at the Christmas store in Downtown Disney, you could do a personalized ornament commemorating your trip....just know that they usually need a few days lead time (due to busy schedules)...we do this everytime we go...

A Wii and Epic Mickey could be fun....but traveling with it would be a pain...

Yes, We do in fact have a Wii. Epic Mickey sounds like a good idea. I also like the idea of a personalized Christmas item. What's the range of prices they would have or the different kinds of ornaments? Does the Christmas store at DTD have a website that might offer some photos? :confused3

The ornaments are very inexpensive...like $15 or so, plus the personalization, which is based on how much you have them do to the ornament...

You can figure less than $25 for a large mickey ironic head ornament with personalization...we usually have them print: Gay Days 2010 or whichever year it is that we're attending, and some "pixie dust"..they do it all using paint pens, and turns out very nicely....

I have pics at home (at work right now), so I'll try and remember to locate them and send to you...

In the meantime, you can see pics of the store here: http://www.wdwinfo.com/Photos/Shopping-xmas/

If you look at Row 6, pic # 3, you'll see the iconic heads I'm talking about (blue and white pictured..and they do have other colors)....

You could have them put "Our first Disney Christmas" plus the year or something along those lines....or a really special sentiment, etc... :)

Just send me a PM with your email addy, and I can send a pic or two to you if you'd like.

Just noticed that pricing is in Row 10, last pic....for the personalization it's $3.00 per word... :)
