Christmas eve dinner

Our tradition: pizza from Pizza King. Santa will even get a couple of pieces too.

Dinner is over but we had choice of meatball or sausage hoagies, shrimp cocktail and deviled eggs. Sort of eclectic but very tasty!!

I made chili and cornbread. I'm about to take some cookies out of the oven for dessert (and for Santa too).

We always go out for Chinese!! YUM

At MIL's tonight, we had:
chicken and sausage gumbo
brisket to make sandwiches
bread pudding and other assorted desserts

We went to the Melting Pot with our best friends after church. We just got home about 45 minutes ago! I'm stuffed!!!

When I was younger, we always went to midnight Mass. After mass everyone congregated at my aunt's house. She always had sloppy joe's in the crockpot staying warm for everyone. This is what I remember. So in my house, it is tradition to have sloppy joes for Christmas Eve dinner. We had french fried with it.

One year DH and I made everyone strombolis for Christmas Eve dinner and now nothing else will do for the family.

It has become a tradition to have stromboli and caesar salad. I just change up the appetizers each year. This year I had hot spinach tarts and a vege and black tortilla chip tray with a spicy dip.

I had to make the stromboli myself this year b/c dh had to work. It was the best stromboli ever!
