Too funny! I grew up in UC and now live in SADDLE BROOK!

i moved away in 1988--
i really miss the malls--- the closest mall to me now is 1/2 hour away

We used to work with a guy that always had birthday cake on Christmas Eve with his kids. It was the baby Jesus' cake.

the 3 of us are having "Surf n Turf" spread over 2 days (lol)
a good cut of steak on Christmas Eve and swordfish on Christmas Day!

We have a birthday cake on Christmas Eve, too. However, Jesus is not the recipient... he relinquished that honor to my baby sister 15 years ago this Saturday. She loves having her birthday on Christmas Eve because it is the one day out of the whole year that she's guaranteed that everyone will be at the same place at the same time.

Okay I may be weird but I love lutefisk. My mom and I are the only ones to enjoy it, just top it with butter, salt and pepper and I am good to go.

My boyfriend is Cuban and I finally experienced cuban style Black beans and rice, cuban potato salad, palamia, picadillo, and a few other dishes. I loved those cuban dishes and realized if the dish did not have vinegar or Extra Virgin olive oil it wasn't cuban!!!!!

I think (i don't think I was paying much attention when she said it though LOL.) my mom said we were having Chicken parmasian (SP?). It will just be the four of us for Christmas eve. It is really easy to make, too. She gets Italian Style Chicken Strips from Sam's Club. They come in a box and are preseasoned. She then puts pasta sauce and cheese on top, cooks them in the oven and they are ready to eat. They are SSSSSSOOOOOO good. I can't wait till Christmas Eve. LOL.
