Christmas Eve Breakfast?

Two years ago when I was at Disney World with my parents at Christmas time I made a reservation for the three of us at Whispering Canyon on Christmas Eve morning. It was nice (and empty). We'll be back for the holidays this year and I'd like to do the breakfast thing again, but I haven't even thought about where we may want to eat.

Do you have any experience with a Christmas-y breakfast either in the parks or at a resort?

It wasn't Christmas-y per se, but we had a wonderful breakfast on Christmas morning in 2018 at Ale & Compass at the YC. Officially it was billed as "Christmas Brunch"...I don't know if the offerings were any different than any other morning for them, but we thought the food and service were wonderful. You had the option of either ordering off the menu a la carte, or ordering a main dish plus the buffet, which wasn't a huge spread, but every item we had was delicious.

Since you've done WL, I would consider GF for some "Christmas-y" atmosphere. The tree there is gorgeous and they have a life-size gingerbread house as well. The breakfast at GF Cafe is delicious. You could also consider Ale & Compass at YC. It will be decorated and the food is very good. You could then peruse the holiday decorations at YC/BC and BWI. The chocolate carousel at BC is always stunning!

We did Compass & Ale on Christmas Eve for breakfast as we were staying at the BC, but did Ohana breakfast, on Christmas, we were doing early entrance to MK too. Both were good choices as they either aligned to our resort or our days park plans. Remember, on Christmas Day...travel times dramatically increase to even include walking by a muliplier of 3 to 5 times longer than normal.

The Grand Floridian Cafe has a really nice breakfast. The Grand Floridian is beautiful at Christmas with their decorations and the gingerbread house. It feels special! Then an easy monorail to MK.

BOG feels Christmasy to me if you sit in the ballroom at the back where it snows. There’s usually a Christmas tree against the wall as well.

We have a lot of experience with visiting the parks during Christmas week and there is about a zero percent chance we will go to Magic Kingdom on Christmas Day. Last time we were there together on Christmas Day we went into Epcot in the morning and did a couple rides before we decided to escape.

Do you remember if there were only breakfast items on the buffet and menu at Ale & Compass Christmas brunch? Ive booked this for this Christmas Day at noon and several in our party would prefer a non-breakfast meal. If its exactly like their breakfast menu I will probably cancel.
