Hmm - this is always cause for "discussion" in our house. Darryl would have put them up this weekend, especially since we had friends over, but I'm more for the middle weekend of December.
I have all sorts of Xmas decorations that lovingly get wrapped up each year, many from my parents and grandparents.
I get a new Disney decoration (or two

) each year, but wherever we travel I pick up one to remind me. This year I got a great Father Xmas with a bright pink dangly legged Flamingo under his arm from Captiva which will look really great on the tree
I have Xmas dragons from Hong Kong, Xmas somethings from the Philippines (we've never been able to figure out what they are, must ask my SIL) loads of stuff from France, Austria and Switzerland from my ski trips of old. But my favourite has to be the hand-made from Harrods bauble for Katie's First Xmas, awww
I always buy my friend a Xmas deccie as a thank you for looking after the house while we're away - she loves them
PS - that's just reminded me. When I asked how much a "bauble" was in the Xmas shop in Disney, the server was hysterical, she'd never heard "bauble" before and tried so hard to pronounce it - most of her colleagues joined in too
